Firstly, I'm not sure how good this is going to be as it's my first time writing anything like this so I hope you enjoy. I'll update whenever I can and if you have any tips or criticism I'd love to hear it. Anyways, there will be possible TW throughout the book to do with Cutting, depression and eating disorders. If this makes you uncomfortable, ignore those parts. It should still make sense <3

EDITED :)

Tommy turned over to look at his older brother, Tubbo, a smile on his face.

They'd been eachother's only comfort for the past 12 years, ever since their parents had left them on the doorstep of a random orphanage because they were 'too young' to have children, which was complete and utter bullshit in Tommy's opinion.

Tubbo was 3 at the time and Tommy, being only around a year younger was 2.

Their whole life they had gone from Orphanage to foster home to Orphanage, their longest foster home lasting 4 months before that family gave up on them aswell.

All they wanted, was to be safe with a loving family but as the years went on and they got older, their chances for getting adopted were slimmer and slimmer.

Who would want two teenage boys with 'issues'?

Tommy always wanted Tubbo to get adopted, he didn't care about himself. He was content with this life as long as Tubbo had a smile on his face and was finally out of the endless loop... even if it was just Tubbo.

"Tommy, I can see you staring," Tubbo giggled pulling Tommy out of his thoughts. "Come 'ere and go back to sleep."

Tommy laughed at his brother as he tiptoed over and comfortably curled up next to him. He stayed there not moving a muscle listening to Tubbo's breaths trying to match up with them until sleep finally engulfed him.

---

"Tommy, Toby, you need to be dressed and downstairs in 20 minutes, there's some people who want to come and meet you." Miss Jones, one of the workers, said as she shook the boys awake.

They both nodded and smiled at her as they stood up.

Miss Jones was one of the only nice workers at their current Orphanage and cared deeply about each of them unlike the majority of them who was only there for their payroll.

She smiled back and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her.

Tubbo grabbed himself a green button up shirt and a pair of black jeans and walked into the bathroom to get changed, Tommy grabbed a random red and white shirt and a matching pair of jeans and swiftly changed.

He sat down on the bed while he waited for Tubbo to finish getting changed.

'Was this finally going to be their home?' Tommy wondered.

He severely doubted it, every time he got his hopes up, he was just hit with disappointment and he always blamed himself.

He wanted Tubbo to be happy but Tommy was just 'too loud', 'too difficult' or 'just not the right fit' for the families.

He truly believed that without him being around, Tubbo's life would be so different, better.

"Tommy, I have a good feeling about this." Tubbo announced as he walked out of the bathroom and put his hand on Tommy's shoulder.

Tommy looked up at his brother and nodded, he refused to ruin this for Tubbo.

Tommy stood up and walked over to the bathroom and brushed his teeth while Tubbo just waited patiently for him.

Tubbo loved his little brother and wanted to protect him but Tommy certainly made it difficult, refusing to tell Tubbo any of his problems and acting like he could handle it when deep down, they both knew he couldn't.

Tommy walked out of the bathroom and grabbed Tubbo's hand.

"Everything's going to be fine." Tubbo promised squeezing Tommy's hand.

"I know Tubbo, I love you." Tommy squeezed Tubbo's hand back and gulped, this might be the last time they had to meet a new family, or could just be another one to add to the list.

---

"Boys, you should eat." Demanded Miss Williams, one of the meaner workers from the orphanage.

She glared at the boys as they walked into the kitchen.

"I'm not hungry." Tommy lied, he was hungry but food just made him 'feel sick' so he tried his best to avoid it.

"Liar." Tubbo muttered looking at his brother with a scolding look.

Tommy just rolled his eyes and looked back at Tubbo, Tommy seemed pissed off and Tubbo knew better then to keep nagging.

"We're both fine. Thanks." Tubbo replied after removing his gaze from Tommy.

Miss Williams raised her eyebrow but didn't protest or argue with them. "Go wait in the office with Miss Jones, i'm sure she's told you what's happening." She walked away without waiting for a reply.

"She's an asshole." Tommy joked.

Tubbo just nodded in agreement, nerves kicking in,  as he lead his brother out of the kitchen and into the office.

Just as they sat down they heard the door open and in walked a man, probably in his mid 30's, with blonde hair and a green and white hat.

Stood behind him were two boys, Tommy and Tubbo guessed they were his sons.

One had long pink hair and a stone expression on his face whereas the other had short brown hair and his grin went from ear to ear.

They both looked around 18 and contrasted each other entirely.

A/N: OKAY! So i've seen a lot of you guys saying how little you eat and it's genuinely concerning, you need to eat and look after yourselves. I know how difficult it is, i really do but at the end of the day, you deserve food. You need it. Me saying this probably won't do much at all but I want you to know I'm so proud of all of you <33
