Chapter Two

Tommy stayed clinging on to Techno's hand all the way to the car, he didn't know why but it was comforting to him and made him feel slightly better about everything.

"I'm going to sitting in the back with you because
Wilbur says 'his legs are too long so it's uncomfortable' but that's fucking bullshit." Techno suddenly said, shooting a glare at Wilbur.

He didn't mind sitting in the back with the boys but Wilbur pulled the same thing every time.

"Well, I don't mind sitting in-" Wilbur started, he wouldn't mind sitting next to the boys and chatting to them.

However, Techno just simply said "No." and turned away from Wilbur.

He let go of Tommy's hand and Tommy climbed into the car next to Tubbo, who had been waiting for the past 5 minutes, with Techno close behind him.

"This is going to be quite a long ride so maybe catch some sleep." Phil said as he searched through his pockets for his keys, which he eventually found.

Wilbur put some music on and Tommy laid his head back on the car seat while also grabbing Tubbo's hand.

Tubbo laid his head on Tommy's shoulder and they both fell asleep almost instantly.

--- An hour later

"Techno, ar-" Phil started talking quite loud trying to be heard over the music but Techno hushed him as the boys were both still sleeping, holding hands.

During the car ride, Tommy's head had ended up on Techno's shoulder and Tubbo had curled up into Tommy as much as the seatbelt would let him.

"That's sweet." Wilbur whispered smiling at the sleeping boys.

Phil hummed in agreement before continuing his question but this time much quieter.

"I was going to say, are you and the boys hungry because we can get food or something?"

Despite all their efforts, Tubbo woke up and groggily looked up before saying "I'm hungry but Tommy probably isn't. Also let him sleep, I wasn't lying when I said he hadn't slept." Tubbo laid his head back down and smiled.

"Dad, let's order pizza or something when we get home." Wilbur suggested.

"Alright, Tech, Tubs? You boys okay with that?" Phil asked and they both just nodded before Tubbo shut his eyes and once again went back too sleep.

The second time Tubbo woke up, the car was now outside a big house and Phil was just getting out while Wilbur had already gotten out and walked up to the door, patiently waiting for the rest of the family.

Tubbo looked over to see Tommy was awake and looking quite embarrassed, probably because he had slept on Techno for the whole drive and they didn't really know each other.

Techno opened his door and motioned for Tommy and Tubbo to follow him over to Wilbur.

"You guys aren't going to be able to sleep tonight." Phil chuckled as he also walked over to Wilbur.

"How long was the ride?" Tubbo questioned, realizing that it had gotten pretty dark since he fell asleep.

"About 2-3 hours." Techno replied as Tommy went bright pink, still embarrassed by the fact that he had slept on a complete stranger.

Phil laughed as he unlocked the door with the boys following him, Tommy right at the back once again.

The house was quite big but wasn't overly massive, it was also far from spotless, it wasn't messy or dirty, it just wasn't pristine.

There was a domestic atmosphere in the house and all around was pictures of the family.

Tommy looked around smiling and Tubbo simultaneously done the same.

"I'm going to order pizza, would you like me to show you your room first?" Phil asked the young boys.

"Yes please!" Tubbo smiled even harder, he was ecstatic and he hadn't seen Tommy this happy about a family.

He knew it was all going to work out.

Tommy and Tubbo followed Phil down a hallway, up a set of stairs and done another hallway which had 5 doors: Techno's room, Wilbur's room, Phil's room, a bathroom and a spare room which was now Tommy's and Tubbo's room.

The room was a cream colour with a black carpet on the floor, in the left corner was a bunk bed and in the right corner was a desk with a pc and a black gaming chair

"I wasn't sure what you guys wanted so if you want, we can go shopping tomorrow and get some new things to put in your room if you want?" Phil asked.

"Sure." Tommy replied looking around the room and excited to have a proper pc.

Phil noticed Tommy staring at the pc, "It's my old one, i'll buy you a new one as soon as i can."

"This one's fine Phil." Tommy assured.

Phil smiled and nodded, he walked out of the room shutting the door behind him.

Tubbo looked at Tommy and grinned at him.

"We finally have a proper home Tommy." Tubbo announced excitedly.

"Really? Do you trust them Tubs?" Tommy wanted to trust them, wanted to be happy like Tubbo currently was but he couldn't just get over what had happened in previous homes.

Tubbo looked Tommy straight in the eyes and grabbed his hand.

"I do Tommy but you don't need to trust them, just trust me."

"Okay Tubbo, whatever." he brushed it off but he did trust Tubbo so he would listen to him.

--- Meanwhile

Phil shut the door and listened to the boys, he heard the way Tubbo could convince Tommy to do anything and he heard the love they had for eachother.

He wanted they boys to feel a part of the family no matter how long it took.

He walked back downstairs where Techno and Wilbur were watching TV.

"How's it going dad?" Techno asked looking away from what he was watching.

"I'm not sure Tech. Tubbo seems happy but Tommy seems..sceptical. He doesn't trust us" Phil sighed as he grabbed his phone and ordered two margarita pizzas.

"Give him time, he'll come round eventually, i mean we did." Wilbur added.

"I guess you're right boys." Phil sat down next to Techno and put his arm around Techno's upper back, waiting for the food to arrive.
