"Here we go. This'll fix ya." We looked at Klaus gave Luth coffee. "Nice. Okay." We sat down hand in hand, making Ben smile at me.
"About time." I rolled my eyes at him and quickly flipped him off. "Ouch, little sis."
"Jesus. Who do I gotta kill to get a decent cup of coffee?" I laughed at Five as he drank some of his coffee, I got up and began to make coffee.
"Can we get started?"
"Anyone seen any of the others? Diego? Allison? No?"
"They had to take care of something."
"All right, then, this is the closest thing to a quorum..." he began to bang the table before continuing. "...that we're gonna get. Now, listening up. There's no easy way to say this so I'm just gonna spit it out."
"This is a bad idea." I looked at Ben as he spoke.
"Yeah."
"Klaus." Klaus snapped out of talking to Ben and looked at Luth, I looked at the coffee as it stopped, I poured it into a cup and began to drink it sitting next to Five, who took mine and groaned.
"Finally." I laughed and took it from him.
"I conjured Dad last night." That got our attention.
"You said you haven't been able to conjure anyone in years."
"Ah, yes, I know, but I'm sober. Ta-da! I got clean, yesterday, to talk to someone special, and then ended up having this... conversation with dear old Daddy himself."
"Has anyone got some aspirin?"
"Top shelf, next to the crackers." I looked at Five and shook my head as Luth went to get up but Klaus stopped him.
"Hey, hey, hey. This is serious, guys, all right? This really happened, I swear."
"Okay, fine. I'll play. What did the old man have to say?"
"Well, he gave me the usual lecture about my appearance and my failures in life. Yada yada yada. No surprise there. Even the afterlife couldn't soften a hardass like Dad, right? But he did mention something about his murder, or lack thereof, because... Wait for it." He took a dramatic pause. "...he killed himself." What?
"I don't have time for your games, Klaus."
"I'm telling you the truth, Luther. I'm telling you the truth."
"Why'd he do it, then?" I looked between the two reaching for my drink only to see Five drinking it, I took it from him and drank some.
"He said it was the only way to get us all home again."
"No. Dad wouldn't just kill himself."
"Ah, you said it yourself. He was depressed. Holed up in his office and room all day and night."
"No. There weren't any signs."
"Suicidal people exhibit certain tendencies, strange behaviors. Like sending someone to the Moon for no reason?" We all looked at Luth, oh shit.
"I swear to God, Klaus, if you're lying..."
"I'm not. I'm not." Either I got hit hard or.. He's not lying.
"Master Klaus is correct. Regretfully..." we all looked at Pogo as he sighed. "...I helped Master Hargreeves enact his plan."
"What?" I looked at Luther as he stood up.
"So did Grace. It was a difficult choice for both of us. More difficult than you could ever know. Prior to your father's death, Grace's programming was adjusted so that she was incapable of administering first aid on that fateful night."
"Sick bastard."
"So the security tape we saw?"
"It was meant to further the murder mystery." I scoffed and shook my head. "Your father hoped that being back here, solving it together..." Pogo groaned as he continued. "...would reignite your desire to be a team again."
"And to what end?"
"To save the world, of course." I let out a laugh, that sick bastard.
"All right. First the Moon mission and now this. You watched me search for answers and said nothing. Anything else you want to share, Pogo? Any other damn secrets?"
"Hey, calm down, Luther." I told him standing up.
"No, I won't calm down. We've been lied to by the one person in this family we all trusted."
"It was your father's dying wish, Master Luther. I..." I looked at Pogo as he sighed. "I had no choice."
"There's always choice. I gotta think."
"Look, you may hate Pogo right now, all you want, okay? But don't forget for one second, that I wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for Pogo, or mom. Just think about that, Number one." Klaus sighed, I felt someone grab my hand.
"Calm down Angel." I felt something shake as my fist stayed clinched. "Alright, Angel, calm down."
"Now that I mentioned it, Dad did say something about Angel's powers too.. something about it begin more powerful than mine.." I sighed and closed my eyes as someone crashed their lips against mine. I felt my body relax as Five pulled away.
"Better?" I let out a shaky sigh and nodded my head.
"Thanks Five." He helped me sit down.
"I know your angry Lady Elizabeth. And I'm sorry."
"Don't, you didn't have a choice, Dad saved you, you owed him that." Pogo sighed and walked off. "Pogo." He stopped and looked at me. "Thank you, for saving me." He smiled and walked off.
"What now?"
"I'm going to go change." He grabbed my hand and dragged me to the room.
"And I'm here because?"
"Well... didn't cross my mind." He took off the pjs mom put him in making me blush. "What?"
"Hm, nothing." I looked away from his abs to the wall.
"Angel.." I tried not to look at him as he walked closer.
"Just get dressed."
"Angel." I sighed and looked at him, he smirked seeing he got my attention.
"Not the time we still have to save the world.." He groaned as I turned him around only to jump and end up behind me. I shivered as his breath hit my ear.
"Just the two of us." I groaned and pushed him against the wall.
"No, me, you, Klaus, Ben, Diego, Luther, Allison, and Vanya."
"Vanya?" I blinked... I said Vanya? "Vanya's normal."
"I.. I know that.. I think.." he looked at me confused as he put a shirt on, thank god, he changed into shorts and dragged me to Klaus' room.
"Hey. Get up. We're going." He looked at us confused but got up anyway.
"Where?"
"To save the world." I told him as he put a shirt on.
"Oh, is that all? Great." I laughed as he followed us out anyway, I grabbed Fives hand, smiling.
