"No sign of Vanya." I looked at him as me and Klaus walked upstairs. "She's not in any of the rooms."
"She's not downstairs, either."
"Well, I'm out." We looked at Diego.
"Wait. Wait. Wait... Where are you going?"
"Vanya's still out there, and so are Hazel and Cha-Cha."
"I know."
"I'm gonna get my things and then I'm outta here. I got some unfinished business with those fools." Seriously?
"Hey, did Dad say anything about the apocalypse when you spoke to him? Any clues as to how it happened?" I looked at Five as he spoke.
"No. No clues. Truly terrific shave. But no clues. Jeez." Five walked away making us follow and Klaus continue. "You know, come to think of it, he did mention something about my potential, and how I've barely even scratched the surface of my..."
"How did he know about the apocalypse?"
"I don't know, but listen. This whole jumping through time thing of yours, how did... How did you know how to do that?" Five stopped and looked at him.
"I didn't. You'd realize that if you were actually sober."
"Hey, I am sober. I've been sober for two... almost two days now."
"Yeah, two days."
"Better than usual." Klaus gave me an appreciation look making me roll my eyes as I sat on the steps.
"It feels like 45 years."
"Who are you kidding, Klaus? I've seen you fidgeting all day."
"Well, I guess we're both fighting our addictions, then."
"I'm not an addict." Eh.
"Yeah, you are. You're addicted to a drug called the apocalypse." I stifled a laugh as he spoke. Seriously Klaus?
"You're wrong."
"First sign. Denial."
"You and I, we're not the same."
"I've seen that look in the eye of someone who doesn't know who they are without their high anymore. Trust me. You gotta just let it go." Five let out a sigh and threw the eye at a wall. "Figuratively, but yeah, that works, too." I groaned as he walked away. I got up and walked in the room and saw Five making margaritas.
"Want one Angel?" I shrugged my shoulder taking one from him sitting on the bar drinking it.
"Well, do you think we really did it? Think we actually stopped the apocalypse?" He sighed and shrugged his shoulders. "Now what?" I asked leaning back a little.
"I don't know." He chuckled making me smile. "I'm open to suggestion." I gave him a look that was cut off by someone knocking on the door. "Eh, I'll get it." I nodded my head as he left. I heard someone speak before Five came back with a dude pointing a gun at him.
"You're here to kill me?" I looked as Five sat on the stool next to me.
"Oh. Shit. Sorry. Old habits." He put the gun up, I took a sip of the margarita. "Well, I can understand why you might feel that way, you know..."
"Well, you attacked our house, tried to kill my family, and kidnapped my brother. Almost killed Angel." I looked at him and squinted my eyes.
"Well, there's not much I can do about the past. I'm not the only killer in this room." I looked at Five. "You got your own bloody history, pal. Speaking of which, that job you did in Calhoun, that shit's legendary. Can't believe I'm actually sittin' here talkin' to you, after all..."
