In a manor, silent cries and sobs were heard. A 14 year old girl named Diana Eleanor Rosier climbed down the spiral stairs and saw her father hugging her mother while her mother was trying to stop herself from sobbing but failed terribly.
"Mother?" Diana called for their attention and they turn their backs to see a little girl with a concerned expression on her face. "What happened?" She asked but her parents continued to just stare at her.
Her father Evan Rosier, untangled himself from her mother and walked towards his daughter. He also tried to look tough but failed miserably as his eyes betrayed him by just looking at her daughter his eyes welled up with tears.
"My darling Diana, A healer just came into our house and told us about his discoveries on why your mother is feeling sick lately," Evan said in a soft tone trying to cover up the shakiness on his voice but he continued. "Your mother has this muggle disease and the healer said that this disease has a very low mortality rate."
"So you are saying that mother can die with this muggle disease?" She asked while trying to ignore her heart sinking into the pit of her stomach. Evan nodded slowly while looking at her daughter's eyes just to see that her eyes to have started watering. "But father how? how did she get this disease? Why? Why does she have to have this?" Diana cried trying to balance her knees.
"Diana shhhhh, the father will do everything in his power to find the cure for your mother okay? Stop crying everything will be okay." Evan's heart was very broken just to sight her daughter crying while pleading to cure her mother. "Baby we need to be strong for your mother, go upstairs me and your mother have some discussions about it. Go to Theo." He said while Diana sprinted to her brother's bedroom and barge in.
"What happened? Why are you crying?" Theo asked right after seeing her older by 15 minutes sister sobbing her eyes out. He quickly got out of bed and sprinted towards her as her knees gave up in her.
"Mother happened, " She holds onto Theo and sobbed into his shoulder. "She...She has this muggle disease that has a low mortality rate which means our mother can die because of that fucking disease." Theo was taken back as he heard what her sister said but decided to not ask some questions as she is clearly in no state of answering it. He just continued to rub her back until her sobs stops.
"Everything will be okay Eli, everything will be." He said in a calm voice as he looked down at his sister he saw her eyes were shut.
A few weeks later [ Hogwarts express ]
"Mother are you sure you will be fine? I just-" Diana was cut off by her mother by saying. "Yes dear, your father and I will be fine. Please don't worry about me when you are at Hogwarts." Her mother, Ana says.
