Part 2

You felt nervous as you stood in the Hokage office.

Shizune was organizing files in the background while Lady Tsunade had a folder open in her hands.

She selected the perfect mission to send you on. You'd be accompanied by Naruto and Yamato.

And of course, Kakashi at his request.

Naruto had his hands behind his head as he waited for the notoriously late.

Yamato politely introduced himself since you two hadn't previously met.

You shook hands and smiled his way just as Kakashi entered the door.

"Getting acquainted?" he noticed walking in to stand beside you.

"There you are sensei!" Naruto groaned.

"Ah there you are Kakashi. The team is ready." Lady Tsunade announced.

"Your mission is to tail a man we think has intel on the Akatsuki."

"There are reports that they were spotted interacting on several occasions all around the same village. You are to do whatever it takes to find out everything they know on our opponents."

Everyone nodded seriously at the mention of the Akatsuki.

"He was last spotted in this region here" she pointed on the map.

"Kakashi you can use your ninja hounds to help locate him with this." she waved her hand as an Anbu appeared handing him a piece of cloth.

"Yamato. I believe your powers will provide quite useful in capturing him. It's not necessary to capture him but we would like to interrogate him if we can."

"Naruto and y/n. You two stand back and if anything goes wrong provide backup."

Just before you all left the office Kakashi stopped you.

"Don't worry I'll be right with you if anything goes wrong" he reassured.

He must've known you were feeling nervous. It was your first A-rank mission.

You nodded shyly and followed him out the door.

Both Kizune and Tsunade noticed as well.

"Are you worried about her?" Shizune looked over.

"Not at all." Lady Tsunade folded her hands.

"He will protect her."

The four of you were racing through the trees with Kakashi in the lead.

Naruto was pretty determined and quiet compared to usual. He must've taken the Akatsuki pretty seriously.

Yamato slowed a bit so he'd synchronize with you.

"So! Y/n I hear your a fresh trainee of Kakashi's."

You nodded. He must've known everything about you with his Anbu black ops background.
