  (The Reader's P.O.V.)

It was a bright sunny day, a great time to go to school, and honestly? I was looking forward to it, who knows what might happen? Or what new gossip would be going around? Or what new rule I'll be able to break? It's all so exciting!

"Good morning, South!" I meowed happily, my tail swaying from side to side as I picked up my walking pace, waving at South Korea after seeing him at the front of the school.

He, in return, waved back at me with a small smile. "The energy yarn-ball has arrived at last." He said as I approached him, now walking besides him to our English class. He patted one of my cat ears as we walked. I ruffle his hair in return, ruining it.

"Hey!" He said, slapping my hand away.
"You started it, South!" I replied as I rubbed my hand, that was actually a pretty solid slap.
     "Fine." He huffed.

He started fixing his hair as we walked, he looked so concentrated in fixing his hair, it was honestly really funny- watching him staring up, as if he could see his own hair.

"So... how's your brother been? He's been.. Really distant, lately.." I asked South, who just kept on fixing his hair as he answered me. "I'm not sure. He says he's okay, but I feel like he's been thinking about something for a while now. It's probably been bothering him." He said, mumbling something incoherent after. I ignored it.

A sigh escaped my lips as I looked forward, becoming silent as I thought about my friend North Korea. We used to talk a bit when we saw each other at school, he was fun to be around with, really! Even if he didn't talk much. But lately, I feel like he's been avoiding me or something.. He barely looks at me, and he doesn't answer me like he used to. He'd grown really quiet and guarded, as if I was a stranger and-... I really.. Don't know why.

I mean, did I do something wrong? Have I annoyed him too much? Does he just want to be left alone? But even if he does want to be left alone, why won't he just tell me? He's pretty straightforward anyway! So why-

"Y/n?" I hear South call my name, snapping me out of my thoughts. Literally. He was snapping his fingers in front of my face. "Yeah?" I ask, looking around me, before realizing he was right behind me, with his hands around my head. "We've been coming to this school for months, Y/n, don't tell me you forgot where our classrooms are again?" He said, looking at me with this stupid grin on his face as if he was laughing. Ü (A smile for you, from me and my friend.)

"Sorry, Sir South." I say, bowing down to him, and standing straight again. I was about to say something else to embarrass him, but he's already looking away from me and going inside the classroom. That's odd.. I shrug it off anyway, walking into the classroom right behind him.
