  (Reader's P.O.V)

I tossed and turned in my bed, but I couldn't bring myself to sleep. Annoyed, I stood up, changed to warmer clothes, grabbed my jacket, and sneaked out of the house. I decided to walk around the park, and I made sure to take my time. I came out here to kill some time anyway. It's been a while since I came out of the house.

I looked up at the night sky, walking slower than before, and eventually just coming to a stop. The sky was dark, but the stars provided light, along with the moon, which reflected light down onto this dirtball I live in. It was really pretty, peaceful as well. I liked it, so I treasured it. Even if it was just the memory of this moment... That's enough fo-

"Ты на скамейке! Переместить!!" Someone yelled at me. I whip my head around as I jumped to the side of the bench- somehow managing to evade a wolf jumping and biting the back of my neck.

"What the hell are- Why are there wolves here?!" I yelled, standing up and hurriedly dusting myself off while looking at the pack of wolves anxiously and confusedly.

"Просто оставайся позади меня в порядке? Я объясню позже!" They said, ignoring what I asked out loud. "I don't speak whatever that language is!" I admitted, although I'm not proud of having to admit it.

They sighed in frustration, before grabbing my arm and making a run for it. I wasn't expecting that, so I ended up being dragged along, mostly. I tried to keep up though, just running alongside this stranger.

"Wait, I- I can't run anymore, I-" I slowed down, my sides and legs were hurting after what was probably only minutes of running, but it felt so much like forever. This is why I don't like sports.

Thankfully, whatever God or Goddess may exist was merciful enough to let us lose the wolves, therefore allowing us to get some time to catch our breaths. Which we did, for what seemed like forever as well. I had to lean my arm against a tree, and eventually, I just sat down against it, facing up at the night sky, eyes closed.

He, on the other hand, seemed to be doing fine just after a minute or two. By the time I was able to actually breathe quietly, he was just waiting for me. How could I tell? He was silent. Not saying anything at all, just moving around and sighing from time to time.

I opened my eyes and faced him, sitting at the opposite side of me, sitting down and facing up as well, looking at the night and starry sky. "...Who are you?" I asked. They faced and looked at me, silent and blinking. "..Каких?" ..He doesn't know English.

     Fuck.

All of a sudden, I could hear him laughing. I looked up at him, confused. "What's... What's so funny??" I asked. "Твое лицо. Вот что забавно." They replied with a smile- and maybe a slight smirk. I can't really tell if he's smirking or if he's just smiling, it's a bit too dark.

"Well.. Ahm... This.. This is awkward." I said, averting my eyes away from him. "Uhm.. Where.. Here?" I asked, with some added hand gestures, in my sad (and embarrassing) attempt to make it more clear what I was asking.

In turn, he spent a few moments thinking, before finally replying. "We in many trees place." He said confidently.

...Is he trying to say we're in a forest?

"We lost here?" I asked with pauses in between the words.
     "No. Me know place."
"Oh thank God-" I let out a sigh, looking up at the night sky with my eyes closed once more.. I was quite obviously relieved.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I honestly wouldn't mind being lost in the woods with someone who saved my life, but I'd honestly prefer not being lost.

I lumped against the tree more, looking back at him again. "Name?" I asked.

"Россия-" He cleared his throat, before saying his name again. "Ruuushhhhhiaa" He said slowly. I couldn't help but chuckle. He looked at me, pouted, and looked away. "I'm sorry, I just found that cute." "NOT. CUTE." He said in protest, pointing at himself. I couldn't help but laugh.

I spent some time with him, and despite our language barrier, we were both able to talk and have some nice chat with each other about whatever. We both were having fun, and it was nice to be able to talk like this with someone as if we have been friends for a long time and were able to catch up and act like we didn't spend years apart from each other. Or something.

I sighed after I finished laughing again, and I noticed that his face was... Visible. I looked up at the sky, immediately noticing the colour difference. The sky went from a dark and starry one and changed into one with blue and orange hues.

"It's morning now.." I said, a hint of sadness in my voice. Russia must've noticed. He stood up, walked towards me, then held his hands out, looking down at me with a small smile. I smiled back at him and accepted his hand, standing up and following him, all the while we were both laughing as we rushed to somewhere.

Soon enough, we reached a place where vines have grown up the walls of what seemed to be an abandoned garden. Everything was dominantly covered in green with some white snow, here and there. The plants, trees, vines, and flowers had made the garden one with nature. I was stricken with awe, it looked beautiful. With the sunlight streaming down the entire place, it looked... Ethereal. Too good to be true.

I smiled, but I had to tear my eyes away from it all. I looked back at Russia, only to see him staring back at me. With an emotion so intense I had to take a moment to process it. After I did, I couldn't help but laugh. For some reason, I found it... Cute? Adorable? I... Don't really know, but I do know that I like it.

Without warning, I kissed the corner of his lips. He snapped back into reality, immediately blushing and smiling widely. He tried to say something, but it all ended up a mess of sputtered words. He gave up in the end, and just kissed me back on my cheek. Now it was my turn to blush and smile widely. Actually, no, it was both of our turns to blush and smile widely.

"Ты теперь моя любовь?" He asked.

"I don't know what that means, but if you're saying what I think you are... Sure. I'd like to be yours.
