(Remus' POV)

"Heya Padfoot" I croaked. His eyes widened in surprise.

"Moony, I-I, how are you feeling?" Sirius said, pulling away blushing. His eyes moved to mine, and then to his lap, trying, and failing to hide his embarrassment. I chuckled at this.

"I'm okay. I'm not dead, anyways. I'll take that as a good thing." I gave Sirius a smile which he didn't return.

"Oh Moony, we were all worried sick!" He said, throwing his arms over me. I winced. "Oh my gosh Moony I'm so sorry, I- I" Evidently, Sirius was close to tears, and completely exhausted.

"Hey, Hey Pads, stop it, I'm not made of glass okay?" I chuckled. He looked at me sceptically, and then withdrew his arms. I looked so guilty and upset that I felt my heart break for him. Then I noticed a small rectangular book sitting on his lap. "What's this?" I asked. He blushed and looked embarrassed.

"Its nothing, nothing at all." He tried to hide it, but I gently tugged it out of his hands. He attempted to take it out of my hands, but I pulled it out of his reach.
"Can I look?" I asked softly. He looked at me, eyes pleading. "What is it Sirius?" I asked again.

"You'll laugh..." He whispered in defeat.

"I promise I won't. Unless it's a diary confessing your everlasting love for me, in which case, I might laugh."

"It's a sketchbook." He said simply. He nudged my hands to open it. On the first page, Sirius had written 'Property of Sirius Orion Black III' in his perfect cursive handwriting. I turned the page once more. There was a beautifully drawn picture of Lily sat on the sofa in the familiar setting of Godric's Hollow. The next page was a charcoal drawing of someone's eyes that left black dust all over my fingers. As I flipped through, I was truly astonished at this skill of Sirius'. How had we not know? I mean, we knew he had designed most of his tattoos himself, but I didn't know he was this good! Every drawing was done in immaculate detail. I flipped past several of me and several of James, one of which included James with green hands, and another of Lily with blue hair. Sirius blushed when I pointed it out. More immaculately detailed charcoal sketches of my eyes and my hands, and even some random doodles sprinkled in. As I reached the end of the book, I looked up at Sirius.

"How long have you been doing this?" I asked.

"I- I don't know. I often sit next to you waiting, and- and its so scary Moony. It's so so scary and I just have to sit there and watch your chest rise and fall because when that happens I know you are still alive, and so I draw it and you and- and- I- because you look so peaceful and I worry, I worry so badly and, and- I-" I stopped Sirius in his rambling by lifting up one of my bandaged hands to his cheek. I pulled him close and pressed a kiss to his soft lips.

"Hey, its okay Sirius" I wiped a tear off his cheek. "Come here." I shut the book and Sirius lent down into my embrace, I wrapped my arms around him as he cried.

"I'm sorry. I should be me comforting you not the other way round."

"These are really good Sirius, these drawings." I looked to my left, where he was laying next to me, his eyes closed. I chuckled; he really must've been exhausted. He looked so peaceful when he slept. I pressed a kiss onto his forehead, and curled up next to him, falling asleep to the rhythmic pattern of his breathing.
