Hey, all good?Tori
Sorry. I dropped my phone in the water:( all good now. Everything with Deaton go okay? Is he safe? Are you okay??Scott
Yes, sorry to worry you. I heard about Boyd. I wish I could've helpedTori
Me too.Tori let out a low sigh, pocketing her phone into the pocket of her hoodie. Her eyes glanced over to the digital clock on her microwave, and she couldn't help but sigh once more. 11:16 p.m. She should get to sleep, as she knew that the next few days would be busy ones. Even with the exhaustion clouding her brain and sleep consuming her eyes, she could only think about one thing. Making up with her best friend.
It's had been 5 days since Boyd died, and since then Derek has taken off. Tori was worried of course, she loved Derek like a brother and didn't want him to end up lost in himself. But she knew that was inevitable given the way Derek was coping.
It had been almost one months since Stiles found out her secret. One month since the one thing she swore to protect Stiles from was right in front of his face.
Of course the human sacrifices, the mystery that has still yet to be solved, was also weighing on her shoulders. Tori was just praying that Vampires or Werewolves were not on the Darachs murder radar.
Her feet dragged her to the white couch that adorned the back wall of her family room, letting her fall freely onto the cushions with a groan. Without much more thought, Tori grabbed her phone again, quickly opening her contact list. Her thumb hovered over the message icon next to Stiles' name briefly, before forcing herself to click the icon.
Tori
We should talk. Two minutes passed before her phone dinged with a reply
Stiles
I guess. Where?Tori rolled her eyes at his rude reply. She huffed and typed a answer to him.
Tori
Mine.
______"I'm here. Let's talk." That was the first thing out of Stiles mouth when Tori pulled open her front door. She ran her hand through her hair, moving to the side to welcome him into her home without words. Stiles gave her a wary look before walking through the entrance.
The door closed behind them. Stiles has his back turned to the girl, arms limo at his sides as if he was scared to move.
"I should've told you." She whimpered. Stiles scoffed. "I was so scared, and I didn't want to hurt you."
He turned abruptly, "it's too late. You already hurt me."
Tori could feel tears pooling in her water lines, ready to fall at any second. She took a deep breath, her hand dropping to her sides, smacking her thighs in frustration. "I didn't mean to! You know that! I was dangerous, and confused and so scared. I couldn't even tell Scott without dread, I couldn't even dream of telling.....you."
"It's not just that." His voice was soft, and that put Tori at some ease. "It was the stress of everything else. It was Scott, it was me, it's the Darach, and the pack of alphas, and Boyd, and Derek. ALL of that and you couldn't tell me the most important thing about you. I don't care that you're a vampire. I just care about you,"
Tori was crying now, her arms crossed in guilt.
Stiles continued, "God dammit Tori, I've loved you since the third grade. I wouldn't care if you had three legs, an extra finger or were covered in warts....." He started to trail off, taking a breath and gulping, "I don't want to fight anymore, and I don't want you to keep secrets from me. Please."
Tori nodded in agreement. "Okay, you're right, I'm so sorry," she took a few steps towards him, "I promise from now on, I will be 100000% transparent. Let's just go back to normal."
Stiles nodded, "if we went back to normal, that means we wouldn't be fighting alphas and a mystery Darach."
She chuckled, "I meant our version of normal," she hugged him then. Tight. Her nose was tucked in the curve of his neck, silently breathing in every pheromone on his ivory skin. His hand slowly grabbed the back of her head, holding her close to his chest. Stiles took a deep breath, closing his eyes on instinct.
Tori pulled back, looking into his eyes. She knew what could've happened. He looked own at her lips, her name falling from his lips in a whisper.
"Stiles," she said if softly, "I love you, so much. But I can't....go there."
He smiled sadly, dropping his arms from around her curved waist. "You love him more, though."
She went to shake her head in protest to his words, but Isaac's soft features flashed through her brain. His soft skin that seemed to always smell like fresh laundry, and his teeth, creamy white like pearls, and she stopped herself.
"I'm....with Isaac now." She felt wrong saying it or loud to him, even though her feelings were pure. "But you're my best friend. Forever."
His faced dropped out of habit, but he gave her a tight lipped smile anyways. His eyes feel down to her nimble fingers, the sparkle of her promise ring very prominent.
"I should go," said Stiles, "I have to talk to, um.....with Cora."
He left Tori alone, leaving with a soft but sad smile in her direction.
Stiles called her a few hours after he left, reciting the jysk of some story that Peter had told him and Cora, about Derek and why his eyes were blue. That poor man. Tori wish she knew where had gone, and if he was okay, because all she wanted was to talk to him and comfort him like he deserved.
With a moan, she walked up the stairs to her bedroom, grabbing her reusable green water bottle, letting the warm blood fickle down her craving throat.
