// fireflies pt.2 \\
The drive to the town pool was quiet. Tori had been biting her nails in anticipation as Stiles drove, in Tori's words, painfully slow. But in reality, he was driving around 80kmph which was practically illegal if Stiles father wasn't the sheriff an docile easily get them out of a ticket. Tori's leg bounced impatiently as she waited to pull up to the poll were Lydia was with a dead body (go figure, am I right?)
She couldn't help but worry about her strawberry blonde best friend of course, she was probably shaken at the pool standing in a puddle of some guys blood, but yet again, Tori couldn't help but get the thoughts of what happened between her and Stiles just 10 minutes prior to there current activities. What if that almost turned into a kiss, shchi would of led to a make out. Or maybe it would of gone further and they would of been making love under the sheets while both of there best friends were trying to fight off some crazy wolves and they would of not seen Lydia's call. She couldn't loose her virginity while Lydia look at some guys neck slit open.
Tori's thoughts were brought to a stop when the Jeep tires screeched as they pulled up beside Lydia's car at the public swimming deck. Tori pulled her windbreakers zipper up past her chin and hopped out of the vehicle, her converse becoming damp due to the wet concrete that surrounded the area.
"Lydia" she called out. The girl turned around slowly, tears in her big green eyes. Stiles was on to join the two, placing a hand on the green coat tags covered Lydia's upper body. "Lydia? Are you okay?"
The strawberry blonde nodded quickly, her eyes wondering back up over to the lifeguard chair were a dead body was slumped in the seat. "That, over there. Not okay"
Stiles winced, nodding as well. "That's alright. Im gunna call my dad"
"I already called 911" Lydia spoke sheepishly.
Tori raised her eyebrows, crossing her arms. "You called the police before you called me?"
Lydia huffed in disbelief, "I'm supposed to call you first when I find a dead body?"
"Yes!" Stiles shouted, shoving his phone back into his pocket.
It didn't take long before Stiles pulled out his phone again to call his partner in crime, Scott. Who, might I add, didn't what a disc riptide of what the corpse look like but Stiles gave it to him anyway. The girls tried not to pay attention to his odd description but yet, exam the blood that dripped from the high chair and left a puddle that ran into the pool.
Tori dipped her index finger in the substance slowly, bringing it closer to her face.
"Tori!" Lydia whispered sternly, "you can't mess with a future crime scene"
"Shhh" the brunette whispered back equally as aggressive. She looked back at her bloody finger and smiled slightly. "Is the coast clear"
The strawberry blonde looked behind her, only to be met with a ranting Stiles with his back faced to the girls. "No, why-"
Lydia's words were quickly cut off as she watched her friend put her bloody fingers into her mouth, sucking of the icky cold substance. Lydia frowned in disgust, shaking her head. "I'll never be used to the vampire thing. Werewolves, okay but vampires, competent nasty. How could you even-"
