}{}{ Hinata's POV, 6:10 AM }{}{
I walked into the gym, seeing a very short, energetic boy and a tall, scary-looking man. Shivers flew down my spine as I looked at the tall figure. I slowly crept into the gym, running over to Suga. I hid behind Suga, clinging to his jacket. He looked back at me, clinging to his coat, and chuckled, "Hinata, That is Asahi, the Ace," Suga explained. My excitement quickly overwashed the fear I had felt earlier. A soft shine on my warm brown eyes, running over to Asahi. I jumped up slightly, scaring the timid boy and earning his attention. "You're the ace?!" I squealed; tiny hops of joy accompanied a big, happy smile. "Heh, yea.." Asahi said, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked over at Suga for help with my raging happiness. Noya- senpai came over, accompanied by Rolling thunder. I stepped back in amazement, eyes sparkling. "Cool!!" I said as Noya struck a pose. "Haha, leave it to your senpai to show you cool things!" I thought for a moment. Senpai? He's shorter than me, so I thought he was younger. I mean, I am the oldest of the 1st years. I shifted my view down slightly, looking him in the eyes. "Senpai?" I asked, Implying I thought he was one of the 1st years. "OI! MY HEIGHT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY AGE!"
Noya got all defensive, pouting. I giggled and smiled at him. "Anyways, I'm Yū Nishinoya! A 2nd year," Nishinoya grinned. "I'm Hinata Shōyō, 1st year!" Asahi remembered the chat from last night, A 1st year spiked it, and it got hot. Enough to the point, it started to steam. No, the Kid Is 5'3. Short sentences of the conversation from last night replayed in his mind. "I'm Asahi Azumane, 3rd year," Asahi said, lost in thought. I noticed Asahi walking off, so I started chatting with Noya-senpai, pleading with him to teach me rolling thunder. Asahi came over again, asking me an odd question. "Hinata, How tall are you," Asahi asked. "Oh me? I'm 5'3!" Asahi stood there; I wondered if I had poorly answered or my height was a problem. Noya pouted, "I'm older but shorter!" He said, jumping on my shoulders. He nodded, running over to Suga And Daichi, pointing at me. I looked back at Noya as we exchanged looks. "What can you do, Hinata?" Noya asked. "Oh, I can jump REALLY high! And spike quickly," I said with a bright smile; my orange hair bounced on my head. "Oh! Show me a jump!!" Noya pleaded. Asahi walked over, "I'd like to see you jump also."
He said, smiling. I didn't know why they wanted to see it, but I accepted, taking a deep breath in. I bent down, power surging through my veins as I propelled myself up. I had forgotten to tone it down, flying to the banister railing on the little platform where we watched matches from below. I grabbed onto the railing, hoisting myself up. (the thing with the ladder where they placed the banner, Idk how to explain it) The whole entire team stopped and watched me jump around 9 feet without getting a running start. "Cool!" Noya burtled out, cracking the awkward silence. Noya looked up, trying to jump to get up there as well."T-Thanks!" I said, realizing I didn't hold back because I forgot to. I could see Asahi looking at me with suspicions laid in his gaze. I could feel my body flair up, quickly hopping down from the platform, grabbing my bag, and running to the bathroom. Everyone looked shocked as they saw me run out, but I returned around 15 minutes later. I panted quietly, returning to the gym. I had avoided disaster. Asahi had gotten ever more suspicious, seeing I had run out right after I just almost ten feet in the air. I scratched the back of my neck, continuing practice as usual.
