}{}{ Hinata's POV }{}{

I could feel Kageyama's warm hands trail down my body, touching the grooves between my ribs, hitting every bump in my spine. I wasn't a boy who had muscle on him; I was skin and bones due to the lack of meals I had growing up. It was always my sister, who was the plump one. She always got to eat, never me. I never took priority in someone's life. I was always "second best," But I survived. I ate whenever I could and was yet; I was called selfish by my mother. Even though I endured so much, keeping her safe, working jobs when we were so short on cash, we couldn't buy bread, took beatings from my father in place of my mother and sister, hardly ate, cleaned, did dishes, laundry, everything. I was always second best. I never fit in there. I stripped, turning the shower water on. Steam flowed in the air; it felt like a blanket was being placed over the air, making it thick and groggy.

The icy water touched my skin, starting to chill my body, but I quickly got used to it. I was used to cold showers and baths, the hot water was for dishes, and my sister's baths and mother's showers. I didn't mind it; though, after playing volleyball, it helped my muscles. The cold water rushed over my skinny body, dousing my thick orange hair. I finished quickly, taking less than five minutes to clean my body and hair. I had learned to use the littlest amount of water possible. Drying my slim body off, I got dressed and walked to Kageyama's room, opening the door and smiling. "I'm ready to go if you are," I spoke softly, smiling. "We need to eat first, Boke," Kageyama stood, walking over to me. "Oh, uh, I don't eat in the mornings. I get sick if I do." I quickly made up a lie, though it was half of the truth.

I didn't eat breakfast because I couldn't; my mother and sister would already be out of the house or asleep, but the time I woke up, and none of the food would be saved for me. And when I did get to eat, I turned it down because my body wasn't able to process the food. "Oh, okay. I'll grab an apple, and we can head out." Kageyama said, passing me as we walked out of his house, apple in his hand. We walked down to the school, walking my bike and Kageyama sipping a milk box he happened to get as we passed by Ukai's store. A comfortable silence nuzzled in; the scenery captured our sights. The hills lighting up a soft pink and gold as the sun peered over the top, lighting the cherry trees a burning amber color, with pink highlights.

Leaves blew in the soft, calm wind sweeping over the roads. We made it to the school; I told Kageyama to go ahead as I locked my bike in place, going into the school. I hated doing it, but it needed to be done. I waked to the vacant "haunted" bathroom, walking in and chugging the pills and doing the thing I hated most. Around 25 minutes later, I gained motion in my body once again, feeling drained after what happened.  I walked out of the bathroom walking to the gym.
