Chapter 18

"Carly! Calum! Over here!" The paparazzi yelled. "Come on," Calum pulled me through the crowd. We got through the crowd, but we ran into something else.
A mob.
"OMG ITS CARLY AND CALUM!" One fan yelled. Fans started screaming and chasing after us. Calum and I ran down the street, the paparazzi and the fans hot in our trail. "Look there's alley we can go through." We ran through it but there was a dead end. The fans and paparazzi were getting close, "What are we going to do?" I asked. My question was answered. Above us, a helicopter came and it was letting down the ladder. Calum and I got on and flew out of the alley. We were high above the ground. The D.C area looked really pretty. All the building and cars, I've never appreciated it. "My house is over there." Pointing, showing the pilot where it was. "Thank you so much- What's your name?" I asked. "My name is Bob." The pilot answered. "Well, thank you Bob for getting us out of that. How did you even know we were down there?" Calum asked. "Well I was just cruising around when I saw you guys getting mobbed. So I felt like I should help you guys and so I did." Bob answered. "Well we are very grateful you did. Oh, my apartment is over there." I pointed to my apartment. We got off and said thank you to Bob. We went inside and dropped on the couch, exhausted from the crazy day. "Oh look, it's 8:00, I'm getting sleepy." Calum yawned. "Hey, what about a movie marathon?" I asked. "Sure! That sounds fun!" Calum agreed. I got all the movies I had, and chose which one to watch first. "Let's watch The Hunchback Of Notre Dame." "Oh my gosh that's one of my favorite movies!" Calum exclaimed. "Mine too!" We started fangirling while watching the movie and snuggled. He kissed my forehead. "What was that for?" I giggled. " I am just so lucky to be able to call you mine. Wow your beautiful." Calum said. "I love you." I said. "I love you too." We snuggled on the couch and finished watching the movie. After the movie ended. Calum was already asleep. I kissed him and Calum smiled and pulled me to him. We fell asleep on the couch together.
THE NEXT MORNING
I woke up and Calum wasn't next to me. I got up and went to the kitchen because I was starving. I walked in and there was Calum. Baking My favorite, chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. I went up and hugged him from behind "Thanks Cal! It smells amazing!" I kissed him on the cheek. "Anything for my girl." Calum smiled. We ate breakfast and then I plugged my phone into the stereo and their song Try Hard came on. We started dancing around and singing the lyrics at the top of our lungs. We danced all morning long, but then, Calum's phone rang. "Hello?" There was a long pause. "Ok we will be there." Calum ended the call. "What was that about?" I asked. "Charlie needs us at the office." Calum replied. We got dressed and got into my car. We drove to his office and we went in. When we got to his office, Ashton,Anna, Luke, Michael, and all my friends were there. "How was the sleepover last night?" Michael asked. "It was fun." Calum and I looked are each other and smiled. "Okay guys," Charlie interrupted, "For the second part of the tour, you aren't opening up for One Direction anymore. Instead, the second part is your own tour!" We all started freaking out. "And I have other news," Charlie continued. "You guys have an opening act. Her name is Chloe Loveheart. She will be touring with you guys for the second part if the tour. And, we all felt bad that Carly had to be taken away from her friends, and this was the boys idea, all of you girls can be roadies!" "YAY!" The girls all screamed. Ashton went to go hug Anna. "OMG! This is a dream come true!" Kaitlyn exclaimed. There was a knock on the door. "Come in." Charlie said. A girl with flowing black hair and tan skin walked into the room. "Oh, everyone, this is Chloe Loveheart." "Hi guys!" Chloe exclaimed. "Hey!" We all said. We all went to go shake her hand. "Hi, I'm Carly Burton, 5Sos' therapist." I introduced myself to Chole. "Hi! It's so nice to meet you!" She exclaimed. Then she went to meet Calum. I saw her making googly eyes at Calum. Oh no. She is not stealing Calum from me. I'll talk to her later to make things clear that Calum is off limits. The meeting was over and Calum left to practice so I didn't get a chance to talk to him.I got a text message from my old friend, Abbi. "Hey Carly! I haven't seen you in a while, you want to meet up at Starbucks?" "Sure, Meet in 5?" I asked. "Sure!" She texted back. I walked out of the office and went to my car. I went to Starbucks and waited for her. Someone tapped on my shoulder and I turned around. There she was, Abbi Kodjanian. My best friend since middle school. "Abbi!" I exclaimed as I ran up to her. "Hey Carly! What's up, it's been a while." Abbi said. "I know! Well I've been pretty busy lately with the boys." I replied. "Well everyone back home is going crazy about you and Calum!" "Cool!" We caught up and talked about old memories we had together when we were younger. This was a nice break from work. Don't get me wrong, I love the boys, but I don't get as much free time. But, I'm glad that my friends are able to come with me on tour! I won't have to be bored all the time when the boys are busy. My phone rang. It was Calum. I picked up. "Hello?" "Carly! Where did you go? We need to talk." "Sorry Calum I'm with a friend that I haven't seen in a while. I will talk to you later." "Okay." Calum said. "I love you." I said to break the silence. "I love you too." Calum replied. I hung up. "Sorry about that. What do you want to do now?" I asked Abbi. "Aw, was that Calum? You guys are so cute together. Oh, I don't know, shopping?" She asked. "Ok. That sounds fun." We finished up our drinks and walked out of Starbucks to go to our cars. Abbi was a few steps ahead of me when a car zoomed by really fast.I tried to warn Abbi, but its too late. Abbi got hit by the car. "ABBI!" I screamed. I ran over to her and checked to see if she was okay. She was unconscious and blood was dripping from her head. I called 911. "911 what's your emergency?" "My friend just got hit by a car and she is unconscious and blood us dripping from her head!" I cried. "Okay tell us where you are and we will send an ambulance." I told them where I was and they came in just a few minutes. The workers put Abbi in the stretcher and I got into the ambulance. I held Abbi's hand and whispered to her. "It's going to be okay." I started tearing up. I didn't want to lose my best friend.
