Chapter 13

"Carly!" Calum yelled, running over to me. "What are you doing here? I need to go." I replied. "Please stay, Please." Calum whispered, tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry." I said, choking back tears "I have to." I turned around and walked on the plane, leaving Calum broken.

A few months later

CARLYS POV

My alarm went off. "Ugh another boring day at the office." I grumbled out loud. I got dressed in my work clothes and grabbed my purse. My wallet fell out and a bunch of stuff fell out. "Really?" I said, annoyed. I crouched down and picked everything up. The last thing I picked up was a picture of Calum and I. I was on his back kissing his cheek while he was laughing. After I left, I was sad for a few weeks but then I got over it. Besides, it was my choice to leave. And besides, I am seeing a new guy, Sam. He was the new guy in my building and came while I was with 5 Seconds of Summer. When I came back, he was really nice and funny. Sam was great and all, but he was nothing compared to Calum. Also, I think he's with a model or some girl. I sometimes felt a sting of jealousy. I missed him. I had everything I wanted when I was with him. People sometimes stop me on the streets and ask if I'm Calum's girlfriend. I still get a sting of sadness when I have to tell people that we broke up. My phone interrupted my thoughts. It was Sam. "Hey want to grab lunch at the cafe today?" "Sure! Meet you at 12?" I asked. Sam texted back quickly. "Sure. See you soon <3". I got dressed in a pink skirt, a white crop top, a jean jacket and sandals. I got in my car and drove to the cafe. I got there and saw Sam in the front of the cafe. "Hey handsome." I said, running up to kiss his cheek. "Hey!" Sam replied. We went inside, ordered our food and we're talking. Sam saw that I was a little bit distracted. "What's wrong babe?" He asked, interrupting my thoughts. "What?" I asked. "You seem out of it." Sam replied. "I'm fine Sam." "Are you thinking about him?" He asked. "Maybe...." I mumbled. "Come on Carly, get over him! I thought dating me will make you forget about that loser." Sam exclaimed. "Hey, Calum isn't a loser! He was the best boyfriend that you will never be!" I yelled. Sam's phone rang. I grabbed it before he could. It was a text from a girl named Talia. "Who's this?" I asked while reading the message. I froze. He was cheating on me. "How could you Sam! How long has this being going on?!" I cried. "A month." Sam mumbled. "How could you Sam? I thought you loved me. You know what? We are over. I've been sick and tired of you treating me like a dog. This is the last straw." I said. "Fine! Talia is a way better girlfriend than you!" He yelled while I walked out of the restaurant I put up my middle finger high enough that he can see it. I sat down at the nearest bench and cried. I didn't need this. Why can't I ever be in a functional relationship? I walked to my car and drove to Nina's house. She'll listen to me. I drove over to Nina's house and knocked on the door. She opened the door. "Hey Carly what's up?" She asked. I burst out crying. "Oh Carly! Come in!" I went inside her house and sat on her couch. "What happened?" She asked. "Sam cheated on me." I said between sobs. "Oh that jerk! I hate him! Nobody breaks my best friends heart!" Nina said angrily. "You want to go egg his house?" She asked. "No. I want to have a sleepover. Let's invite all our friends." We invited my twin sister Anna, I haven't talked to her in a while, Courtney, Rebecca, Ella, Kaitlyn, Molly, and Jessie. Nina told them what happened and told them to bring a lot of ice cream and chick flicks. When they got here, we all squealed and hugged. Anna spoke up first. "I'm sorry about Sam." When I heard his name, I broke down in tears. "Oh gosh, I'm so sorry!" Anna went to go hug me. "Group Hug!" Ella yelled. They all came in to hug me. "AHH!" I screamed while they toppled me over. "Okay, okay girls I can't breathe." The girls all giggled as they got off of me. "Thank you so so much girls. I really needed this. I missed you guys!" I exclaimed. "DANCE PARTY!" Courtney yelled. We put on some music and danced our hearts out. When we got tired, we went and made ice cream sundaes. They were delicious! Then we watched a marathon of our favorite chick flicks. Mean Girls, White Chicks, The Jerk Theory, She's the Man. etc. It was a fun night so far. While we were watching the credits of She's the Man,there were some commotion going on outside. "What the heck is going on?" Nina asked. "I don't know," I replied. "But I'm going to find out."
