The First Step

Narrator's POV:

???: Wake up, lazy butt!

With this loud noise (Y/n) woke up with a jolt but couldn't because she was trapped in her blanket while (Y/n) was struggling to escape her self made prison Ruby woke up and saw (Y/n) struggling to get out and let out a slight giggle. (Y/n) hearing this noise froze and looked at Ruby with a flustered look and sank back into her blanket.

(Y/n): Don't just stand there help me!

Ruby giggles and proceeds to help (Y/N) out of the blanket trap.

(Y/N): Thank you so much! (Hugs Ruby)

Ruby:(blushing) Eh?!

After (Y/N) realized what she did she let go of Ruby.

(Y/N):(cough) Right, thank you for helping me Ruby...

Ruby: Ah, your welcome I-

(Y/N):(grabs Ruby's shoulders with a black aura surrounding her) But if you tell anyone about this I will not hesitate to stitch your mouth shut...understood?

Ruby:(shaking) Y-yes m-ma'am...

(Y/N): Good, see you at the locker room Ruby...(waves goodbye)

Time skip

Ren heads out while a skipping Nora follows, passing Ruby and Yang as they are busy readying themselves.

Ruby: Wonder what those two are so worked up about?

Yang: Oh, who knows? So, you seem awfully chipper this morning!

Ruby: Yep! No more awkward small talk or "getting-to-know-you" stuff. Today, I get to let my sweetheart do the talking. (strokes Crescent Rose as she sighs happily)

Yang: Well, remember, Ruby, you're not the only one going through initiation. If you wanna grow up, you're gonna have to meet new people and learn to work together.

Ruby: (sighs in frustration) You sound like Dad! (shoves her weapon into the locker) Okay, first of all: What does meeting new people have to do with fighting? And secondly: I don't need people to help me grow up! I drink milk!

(Y/N): I'm pretty sure milk doesn't make you grow Ruby...

Ruby: Ah! Why do you keep Popping out of no were?

(Y/N): I'm sure your sister saw me coming (looks at Yang) though I do wonder why your sister didn't tell you that I was coming.

Yang's POV:

Yang: Wow I just noticed how hot (Y/N) looks and that serious look she always has...Ah! She's looking at me!

(Y/N): Anyways, what were you girls talking about?

Yang: We were talking about when we form teams..who would Ruby be with?

Ruby: (suddenly nervous) Um, I don't know, I... I'll just be on your team or on (Y/N)'s...

(Y/N): (crosses her hands) I don't mind having you on my team as long as you don't annoy me..

Yang: (bringing her hair around her shoulder and stroking it) Maybe you should try being on someone else's team?

Ruby: My dear sister Yang, are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me?

Yang: What? No! Of course I do! I just thought... I don't know, maybe it would help you... break out of your shell!

(Y/N): I do think that Yang is correct about that, your gonna need to socialize at some point..
