After a long and tiring day Harry loved coming home to his boyfriend Draco.

He was a comforting presence and was always able to calm Harry down with a small hug or kiss or maybe something more.

And right now while Harry was on his way home, all he really wanted was to hold his lover and whisper sweet nothings.

They lived in a muggle city in a small apartment but it was perfect for them. It was a place where they wouldn't have to worry about their past. It was a fresh start.

Harry finally reached his apartment door and as he was stepping in the smell of... what was that? Burnt... burnt something.

He lazily threw off his shoes and hung up his jacket, still focused on the strange smell.

With steady steps he made his way towards the kitchen, the smell of burnt food becoming for evident, and slowly he heard a voice.

"Fucking shit why did i decide to- FUCK! oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck oh fuck!"

Harry chuckled as soon as he realized what was going on.

Draco was trying to make dinner.

Everyone who knows Draco knows he cant cook for his life. Harry has tried teaching him step by step and very slowly but somehow Draco still ends up messing up every single time.

Wether its cutting the vegetables too big, burning everything or completely fucking up the seasoning, there is always something.

The chuckle seemed to startle Draco because he turned around swiftly causing him to knock down a bowl of... berries?

"H-hey Harry! Im just- im just-"

"Making dinner?" Harry questioned with a smug smile letting himself lean on the doorway.

Lighly pushing himself off of it Harry sauntered over the Draco peering at the pan.

"Hmm," he hummed furrowing his eyebrows, but there was a glint in his eyes "looks kind of burnt." He finished staring at the black onion.

Draco huffed "Thanks for the feedback but that was on purpose" he said crossing his arms and lifting his chin.

"On purpose?" Harry parroted amused.

"Yes. On purpose. Now if you don't mind im trying to make your dinner. Which I did not have to do. Im making it because im a nice, selfless and caring person. Unlike you. You're judging me." Draco said.

Harry stared at Draco for a few seconds with a grin on his face.

"Draco."

"Harry."

"Is that an entire onion? Did you forget to chop it? And what is that? Is that a strawberry?" Harry chuckled.

Draco seemed to have a hard time staying serious too, a small smile creeping its way onto his face.

"Dont judge me! I tried to do something nice!" Draco burst out laughing followed by Harry.

"I- I appreciate it but what where you thinking? There isn't even any oil on the pan!" Harry laughed hugging Draco.

The blond whined trying to get out of the embrace.

"Do you still love me even though im useless?" Draco questioned, giving up and letting himself fall into Harry.

"I still love you." Harry hummed closing his eyes.

"I love you too."

They stood there for a few minutes in silence just enjoying each others embrace with content smiled on their faces.

"Wanna order pizza?" Harry asked.

"With cheap wine?"

"Of course."

"You order I'll pick out the wine!" Draco said excitedly, pulling himself out of the embrace and giving Harry a quick peck before running off.

"Pick a good one!" Harry yelled with a smile.

How did they get so lucky?
