The Boy Next Door (Urushihara X Reader)

Chapter 3: Good morning

~~~~* Your POV *~~~~

*CRASH*
I jump up off the floor and look around the one bedroom apartment cautiously.
"What the heck was that!?" I scream as I see Misty standing with her back towards me, in front of the empty cabinet.

"Oh sorry ______. I was reaching for a pan and they all fell out." She says with a giggle. "Though it was funny seeing you jump like that." She says.

"Why are you up so early?" I ask rubbing my eyes.

"I have to go look for a job." She says. "Do you want any breakfast or?" She begins to ask, but then I butt in.

"Nah I can make my own at my place." I say as I begin grabbing my stuff. "I hope Urushihara didn't do anything shady while I was gone." I say aloud unknowingly.

"Jeez ____, if you were that suspicious then why did you leave him alone?" She says to me in her voice that is indicating 'you're and idiot'.

"I couldn't sleep under the same roof with a guy I just met, and I know how I would feel if someone woke me up." I say as I give her a glare indicating 'don't use that tone on me'. "Well I gotta go, good luck Mist." I say as I rush out the door in a frantic race to my apartment.

"Thanks!" She yells before closing her door.

~~~~* 2nd Person POV *~~~~

As you race up the stairs you begin to slip when a guy with black hair walks out of Ashiya's apartment and catches you.

"You might want to be a little more carful coming up those steps. Though you aren't the first to slip, you are the first to be that lucky." he says

"Red eyes?" You think. "Thanks for catching me." You say trying to get back on your feet. "Are you Mr. Ashiya and Urushihara's other roommate?" You ask with your eyes still fixed on his face. Once he knows for sure that you are steady on your feet, he lets your arms go.

"Yes, I'm Sadao Maou, you must be ____." He says.

"It is nice to meet you Mr. Maou." You say reaching for your bag, which you dropped when you slipped.

"Oh Miss ____ would you happen to know where Urushihara is? He left the apartment late last night and we haven't seen him since." Moau asks politely.

"Yeah, he dozed off at my place last night. I didn't want to disturb him because he looked so comfortable, so I slept at my friend's apartment." you explain while blushing and looking down at your feet.

"I see," he pauses. You look up and notice he has a look of regret/rage on his face. "You will have to excuse me, I don't want to be late to work." He continues. As you part ways he calls to you, "Miss ____, would you mind telling Ashiya where Urushihara is, please?" He says. He then waves goodbye and turns away.

"Okay? I guess that means Urushihara hasn't gotten up yet." You say to yourself as you turn and begin walking to your door.

You have a feeling Urushihara will be in trouble, so you decide to make breakfast for the two of you before you inform Ashiya. You unlock the door to your apartment and walk inside to find the note untouched, and Urushihara still asleep at the very edge of your bed.

You reach for a pan when you hear Urushihara turn over, causing him to nearly fall off the bed.

You walk over to him, shake his shoulder and begin saying, "It's time to get up. What would you like for breakfast? I don't have enough stuff to make a feast though. Don't roll off the bed."

After you finally get him to open his eyes be begins blushing. He shoots up out of bed and stares at you.

"What?" You ask, as you feel your face growing red hot.

"Did you sleep on the floor? Wait, why didn't you wake me up?" He questions, still blushing.

"Yes but not here i slept in my friend's room, and because you seemed really comfy." You say.

"Thanks" He says. "Oh but if I were you I wouldn't do that for just anyone you meet." He adds.

"Do you think I'm a complete idiot? Do I need to search for hidden cameras after you leave?" You scoff.

"Maybe" He kids. You begin cooking breakfast for the two of you.

"Oh by the way, I met Mr. Maou in the hall and he sounds pretty mad about you sleeping in my apartment." You say.

"What why did you tell him that!? You couldn't have come up with some excuse for me!?" He exclaims.

"Well I'm sorry I didn't know you were some wanted criminal." You say sarcastically.

"Here," You hand him a plate, "dig in."

"Thanks." he says

After breakfast he walks back to his room to get ready for your day out. When he gets to his door he turns and looks at you.

"You have two hours," he says, "think that will be enough to get ready?"

"Yeah," you reply, "plenty of time."

~~~~~* Urushihara's POV *~~~~

"Wow that girl is an amazing cook!" I say as I barge through the door.

"Where have you been all night!?" Ashiya barks at me as soon as I walk in.

"I was at ____'s place. Wait... I thought she told you that?" I reply calmly.

"No I was unaware." Ashiya says with a still enraged look on his face.

"Oh well she passed Maou on the stairs and he ask her to let you know." I say

"I guess it slipped her mind." I continued.

"Or... she was trying to protect you." He says.

"Really? Why would you think that?" I ask as I feel my face growing warm.

"Well I highly doubt if she didn't like you in the slightest since, that she would allow you to invade her privacy and spend the night in her apartment." He replies.

"She likes me?" I whisper under my breath.
