Chapter 9: Dinner Date (With A Salty Treat)

~~~~ Urushihara's POV ~~~~

Why am I here again? Standing on this bridge, which I once made a vain attempt to destroy. Holding the one and only human that has ever snaked her way into my heart.

I'm holding ____ in my arms, her face is pale and contorted. When I look down at her torso, there is a gaping hole tearing directly through her chest. I set her down on the rubble from surrounding buildings and call for help, yet no one answers. As I look around, teary eyed, I notice that all of my friends are also wounded.

Emi is trapped under rubble, Maou has many almost like gunshot wounds, Ashiya has missing limbs and Chi was lying near Maou with severe burn wounds. And Suzuno seems to be unconscious and bleeding out.

"Why do I not remember what happened here?" I ask myself.

"What happened? Why is everyone dead? Did I do this?" I begin screaming, no one answers. Soon I crumble to my knees next to ____ and begin sobbing quietly. I don't like this feeling of being weak, but maybe it was my strength that caused this.

"Did my strength over come me? Did I do this to ___?" I ask myself quietly.

"I know who you really are, now." I hear my sweet love's voice. Crawling on my hands and knees, weakly, I make my way over to her. She looks up at me, one hand over her wound and one pressed to her forehead. "You're Lucifer, the disgrace of and angel. You're ego is what you were labeled a fallen angel for, and now it is what got you here." She spurts up a little blood then begins gasping for air.

Shakily, I wrap her in my arms as she begins speaking again. "You're the one who caused this. I'll never forgive you."

At the sound of those words, the bridge seemed to fall apart and all the buildings surrounding us crumbled to the ground. The entire city was reduced to rubble. Possibly even the world.

My world.

Then I woke up with a jolt.

"No _____, I'm sorry! I-" As I look around the apartment I see Ashiya with a panicked and dumbfounded look on his face.

"What in Ente Isla was that?" He nearly yelps.

"Bad dream. What time is it?"

(Earlier)

"Hey Mist, mind if I walk with you to work? Ya know since it is on the way home." I ask as we start clearing our booth table.

"Nah, I'd actually enjoy the company. Plus you'll get to tell me more about you're dinner date with Urushihara. By the way when are ya'll meeting up?"

I look around and attempt to remember, "8ish I think."

She nods.

(Present Time)

Ashiya looks to his watch, "7:28"

"I need to start getting ready-" I start thinking aloud.

"Ready for another 'secret' date with ____? You realize you two dating really isn't a secret anymore." Ashiya butts in. I feel my face growing hot as I jump from my pallet on the floor.

"Thats none of your business Ashiya!" I shout. He releases a slight chuckle.

"I know, I'm sorry." He sighs.

*Beep Beep* A quite tone sounds from my laptop. It's a message from ____.

It reads:

Hey Uru. Please don't forget that our date's at 8:00! I'm getting ready right now, so if you're not then please do. If you're late, I'll never forgive you. Just kidding, don worrie bout et! ~ _____
