Ike refused to believe it but it was true and in a few hours she was would be watching a BTS live concert by via video chat.
Apparently, BTS had seen the tweet and the company, BigHit had sent a message to Juola after taking with the boys.
That was believeable but Ike refused to believe that the boys had actually agreed to do a live convert for her. It would be hard for them to start making plans to come to Nigeria.
They had nothing in place. Even if they ended up coming, they couldn't just come and go right? So their best option was just to do a small live concert for Ike through video chat.
As there was a time difference of 8 hours between Nigeria and Korea, they had look for a very much continent time which was around 5am in the morning and was already afternoon in Korea.
Gloria and Chidima were shocked too and as Juola secured the connection for the laptop; Ike nervously played with her fingers.
There were different times that Ike had actually imagined meeting BTS and had tried to know what her reaction would be if she met them and now that she was actually going to meet them, Ike was plain nervous and she tugged at the end of Juola's shirt.
"You'll be fine" Juola said with a smile and put on the goggle audio translator for her.
Ike swallowed her saliva as soon as the video started and a white background came to view. She heard voices and she felt like her heart was going to beat out of her chest.
The white background disappeared and Ike came to face with a rather very familiar face asking ir the video was connected or not.
Fireworks exploded in Ike's head as the video showed the seven boys seating on a sofa and waving.
"Anneyoung" they chorused and Ike froze blinking repeatedly at the screen not believing a bit of what she was seeing.
Juola squeezed her shoulder and Ike broke out of her reverie and tried to laugh as she stared at the boys. Words refused to form as the RM chuckled.
"Its okay. You are Ike right?" RM asked his English coming out rather fluent and Ike laughed at the way he called her name.
"Yeah but its Ike" Ike replied as the boys started trying to pronounce it.
"E-ke" Ike said again as she laughed watching them. Never in her life would she believe that she would see those seven boys before she died.
"What's your favourite song? We'll sing it" RM said as Ike rubbed her chin.
"I have a lot but currently my favourite is We Are Bulletproof:The Eternal" Ike replied as she glanced at her fingers.
"It really did encourage me. Made me cry but made me stronger" Ike added as she watched RM tell the boys what she had said in Korean.
She watched as V brought out his violin and said something as RM nodded and turned to her.
"Taehyung says that he hasn't played his violin in a while so he might be rusty a little bit" RM said and Ike smiled as she shook her head and watched as Jungkook started singing.
She moved her head slowly singing quietly along with them as tears ran down her cheeks. She was alone but their songs stayed and lived with her. Made and encouraged her to live.
By the time they finished, Ike already had a tear stained face. She smiled while trying to wipe her face as the boys beamed smiles at her.
"Kansamida" Ike said quietly as she bowed her head slightly.
"Who's your bias?" RM asked and Ike smiled and pointed to Suga.
The boys cooed as Suga wore a smile and waved at Ike while she waved back at him wearing a smile.
"You'll be fine Ike" Jimin said and Ike laughed at the way he called her name.
"You are my hope, I'm your hope" Jhope added as Ike laughed at his ever entry statement.
V sent her flying kisses and Ike laughed heartily as she covered her face. Suga crossed his fingers doing the love sign and Ike immediately did the same with her two hands waving as her eyes turned teary.
Ike swallowed her saliva as she walked into the church. A short service seemed to be going on in front of the church so she sat down at the back as she released a sigh.
She didn't know what she was doing at the church. Ike didn't remember when last she went to church. Maybe four, five, six or even seven or ten years ago. When she stopped trusting in him. She looked around the church as she sighed again.
Her mom had come to her room the previous nigjt after she had gotten back from Juola's place wanting to talk to her. She spoke about God's love for her, spoke about his promises over her life, spoke about his grace.
It took a while before Ike realized that in some way she was very lucky even though she refused to admit it. God loved her; that she realized, that she needed to trust and trust him more, she also realized. And that his grace was ever sufficient, she knew that too.
Ike went on her knees as she closed her hands clamping her hands togther as she prayed, her lips only moved, no word came out.
Oh Lord, thank you for giving me the grace to trust you in once again. Thank you for giving me your love all these while. Thank you for been with me. I only have few days left till I come to you and I'll be leaving a lot of people here on earth.
Mom, Dad, Juola, Gloria, Chidima and even my baby brother who I don't know yet. I want you to protect them and guide them, I want you to be with them and bless them. For Juola, just be with him.
