"Ring" the entry bell rang, indicating another customer.
Juyeon continued to talk, but Seoyeon always had the habit of checking out sounds over different things.
This time, it was someone she least expected.
Sunwoo, Jaehyun, Haknyeon, and Changmin walked through the doors, their loud voices prominent.
Seoyeon instantly lowered her gaze, as well as her head. This was something she did when she lacked confidence the most, besides when she had panic attacks.
"Seoyeon, you okay." Juyeon rose a brow, looking around to what might've cause this behavior.
His eyes fell on his friends.
He waved softly, as they did him. Haknyeon began to walk over when Sunwoo grabbed him by the arm, and Jaehyun gave him a small head shake.
Juyeon smiled before looking back to Seoyeon, who was gripping her shirt.
"It's okay now, they won't bother you." He voiced out like butter, "it's okay."
Seoyeon inhaled before brushing her hands on her thighs.
"Hey beautiful, you okay? Is this boy bothering you?" Seoyeon looked up to see a man in his late 20s, early 30s looking at the couple.
His vibe was sketchy, and made Seoyeon mildly uncomfortable.
"How about you come sit with me." The man began to grab her arm, which took her by surprise.
"Yah?! What the hell, man?!" Juyeon stood up.
"Your girlfriend looks like she needs a new boyfriend. Someone who won't make her look all sad." He responded, cockily.
"What are you even talking about, get your hands off of her." Juyeon raised his voice.
Seoyeon began to shake, the loud voice triggered her and she felt as though it was her fault.
"What're you gonna do about it? You can't even make you girlfriend happy." He tightened his grip on Seoyeon.
Her breaths became heavy, barely escaping her body.
"Juyeon." She tried to say, but came out as more of a whimper.
This wasn't the first time Juyeon got into a fight.
The first time was during gym of his second year. Seoyeon was in her gym class, like normal. When all of a sudden, Juyeon bursted his way across the field, visibly angry, and struck a guy in his jaw.
They fought for as long as they could, until the teacher broke them up. Juyeon had got some good hits on them, but the other guy couldn't even get a single blow.
Juyeon got suspended, and Seoyeon made him promise not to fight again.
Seoyeon, til this day, still doesn't know the cause of the fight.
Juyeon knew if he laid a finger on this wolf, he would break a promise. And he couldn't do that.
"Look man, I don't want to fight with you. Just let her go, and move on with your life." Juyeon said as strictly as he could.
"Oh so you're a pussy too." He smirked.
Juyeon poked the inside of his cheek with his tongue, the nerve he once had was gone.
"I'm sorry, Seoyeon." He whispered, her eyes widening.
Juyeon lifted up his, already clenched, fist and punched him straight in the jaw.
The two continued to hit at each other.
Everyone in the restaurant now on their feet, watching the commotion.
"Juyeon stop!" Haknyeon yelled, but was ignored.
Seoyeon began to hyperventilate, she hated to see people fight.
She tried so hard to speak out, knowing if she said anything Juyeon would stop instantly. But, all her efforts were in vain. Nothing would work.
It felt like her voice box was broken. Tears ran down her face as she shook in fear, unable to move.
It's her fault. She could do something.
Sunwoo was the one to break the fight
He had to physically stand in between the two.
If Juyeon hadn't seen Seoyeon's face, he would've still been at it.
Juyeon instantly ran to Seoyeon, hugging her frail body. Her head lied up against his chest as she continued to cry.
"I'm sorry" he repeated, over and over again.
Seoyeon touched his chest, right over were his heart was, indicating the sign for home. Her eyes still red and filled with scattered tears.
"Okay, okay." Juyeon pulled out his wallet, placing cash on the table.
The two walked out of the restaurant, as if they didn't just cause a huge commotion.
The older man sat on the floor, bloodied up from the amount of hits he had gotten. Sunwoo, Haknyeon, Changmin, and Hyunjae were beyond shocked, confused the side of Juyeon they've never seen before.
