"You definitely would've let the bus driver drive off." Juyeon scrunched his nose.
"Probably."
"What happened to miss confident, shouldn't you be able to help me out."
"I could, but I think I would enjoy not helping you even more." She smirked, turning to the window.
Juyeon gasped, "Oh my gosh, were you always thinking about this before?!"
"Uh, kinda...not really. I thought a lot about being those best friends who always are teasing each other. Like in the movies. But I always thought you would hate me for it, now, not so much."
"I see, now that you say it, what type of besties do you think we are?"
"Definitely the type where everyone thinks we are a couple."
"Really, you think so?"
"100%! It mostly my fault because of my separation anxiety, and all the other problems I had in my head. But now you don't have to worry about being being a burden to you."
"Seoyeon, I never saw you as a burden."
"Juyeon, you couldn't even get a girlfriend because every single one thought you were cheating."
"It's fine, I'm serious. If my future girlfriend doesn't accept that fact that I would put you above her, then she isn't the one."
"Don't say that, I should not be more important than your significant other."
"But you are, and you know exactly why." Seoyeon immediately went silent.
Juyeon wasn't the type to get serious, but when he did, it was always scary.
Seoyeon, being his personal diary, knew everything about Juyeon.
Even the reason they became friends, and the reason why Juyeon cared so much about her.
It was his mother who she reminded him of. From the smile, to her eyes.
Even down to their birthdays.
Juyeon's mother was mute, even if she wanted to, she couldn't speak a word.
It wasn't aways like that though.
She was a beautiful singer, she sung lullabies to Juyeon all the time. But eventually she developed vocal nodules. She has surgery, but it was unsuccessful, it led her to become fully mute.
A couple years later she had died due to other health conditions.
When Juyeon met Seoyeon, it had only been a year after her death. He became attached to Seoyeon, and since then has treated her as family.
"I'm sorry, I put you in an uncomfortable situation." Juyeon hung his head low.
"Don't apologize! Here have a donut!" She stuffed a donut in his mouth, causing him to muffle in surprise.
"Are you nervous, we are almost at school." He asked after swallowing the last piece.
"In actuality, no. I feel fine, which is a bit weird."
"Yeah, I honestly never thought this day would come."
"You think so little of me." Seoyeon teased, scrunching her face.
The bus halted, making the two stand up. They had arrived at the front of the school.
The couple walked off the bus, like the always did. It was never a surprise to see The Juyeon and Seoyeon walk into school together.
Some assumed they were in a relationship together, others thought they were related, and some knowing they were best friends.
Seoyeon was known as "Juyeon's girlfriend" sometimes there would be a space between the lines. Only some actually knew her name, and none have ever actually spoken to her.
If anything she was more of a mystery than Juyeon.
But it was different today.
Seoyeon had a smile on her face, and her mouth was actually moving.
The people that noticed were very shocked, surprised to even hear her voice.
"People are starring." Juyeon whispered, going closer to her. A habit he had when they were getting attention, to sooth Seoyeon.
"You don't have to do that anymore, I'm fine." She smiled, placing her hand on his arm.
"Right, I forgot. By the- wait look."
Seoyeon followed his hand, Sunwoo. "Oh my gosh."
"He's looking over here, what are you going to do?"
"Shouldn't I go up to him?"
"Already?! Do even know what you're going to say?"
"Nope, but I always carry around a confession letter in my backpack." She says as she pulls her backpack in front of her, taking out the high decorated letter.
"You're just going to confess in front of everyone."
"Hmm, you're right, I wouldn't want to embarrass him. How about you and I both go up to him, then we lead him to around that corner, then you say you have to do something, and BOOM I whip out the confession!" Seoyeon gesticulated.
"Sounds good to me, let's go!" The two of them ran up to Sunwoo, who was beyond confused.
He knew every since high school that if Juyeon was with Seoyeon, to not go talk to him.
So why were they right in front of him.
"Sunwoo we need to talk to you." Juyeon smiled.
"Yeah, what is it?" He hesitated.
"Not here, uh, over there!" Juyeon pointed to the side of the building, a blind spot where no one went to.
"Um, okay."
The couple walked in front of the confused boy, careful no one followed.
They stopped a bit further down the side of the building, making sure they couldn't be seen.
"Shit, I forgot my dog. I'll go get it, you two stay here!" Juyeon spoke out, running away quickly.
Sunwoo scratched his head, and Seoyeon mentally slapped herself at the terrible excuse.
It was only when Sunwoo cleared his throat, was when Seoyeon remembered why she was there.
"Oh, I'm Seoyeon." She stuck out her hand.
Sunwoo rose a brow.
"We went to high school together, I was in your class." She kept her smile, as Sunwoo slowly shook her hand.
"Sunwoo."
"I know! I actually wanted to tell you something."
"Yeah?"
"I know this may be a bit weird, since like, we've never spoken to each other before. But I have liked you for 3 whole years now and I think we could be a very great couple." She held out the confession, her smile reaching her eyes.
Sunwoo stared blankly, scratching his nape, "I thought you and Juyeon were, like, a thing."
"No, no, no, Juyeon and I are just best friends. We don't have any intimate feelings for each other."
"Um, I'm sorry. I don't really feel the same."
Seoyeon smile fell, as Sunwoo began to walk off, but it quickly went right back up.
"Sunwoo!" He turned, "I'm not giving up on you, I promise you'll like me sooner or later!"
