Hiujin hummed as she walked down the sidewalk, bag in hand. She smiled as she reached the building, walking in. She set her bag down against the wall and looked at herself in the mirrors on the walls, smiling. She kept her mask and hat on but took off her sweater. She walked over to plug in her phone to the speakers and began to play her playlist.
She walked back to the middle of the room and listened to the music, starting to dance freely to it.. She'd learned the choreography long ago but it had been a while since she was finally able to dance. She hadn't noticed anything other than the music and her dancing. She focused hard on trying to get every move right.
It wasn't until the song ended that she noticed a familiar body standing in the corner of the room. She turned around with wide eyes, her chest heaving up and down as she tried to catch her breath.
"I didn't know you could dance. How come you never told me?" Hyeyeong said, smiling softly as he slowly walked towards her, meeting her in the middle of the room which was where she stood.
"W-What are you doing here?" She said softly, shifting her weight from one leg to the other. She was slightly nervous to be around him again after being gone for so long.
"I missed you. So I wanted to see you." He said. "Wait, that makes me sound like a stalker. I was just getting some coffee and I heard some music in here so I decided to check it out. I saw you and I came in." He added, taking a sip from his coffee that he held.
"How did you even know it was me? I had my mask on the whole time.." She said, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion as she took the said mask off.
"Well, one time before you left for the US, I went to visit you but you weren't home. Your sister told me you were at a studio that was near your house so I went to check and I saw you there dancing. I didn't want to mess you up so I left." He explained, smiling fondly at the memory. "I know it's been years since then but I've never seen someone dance as mesmerizing as you do."
"Wow, that was corny." She said, giggling. "And to think that I came to this dance studio to be by myself.. I should've known." She said, jokingly.
"Sorry, I couldn't help myself. If you want I can leave." He said, pointing towards the door.
"Stay." She said as he turned to leave, stopping him. He turned back toward her and smiled.
"Alright. I'll stay for a little bit." He said, smiling.
She put a different song but this one was a bit more sensual than the last song she danced to. She hadn't planned it at all, she just followed along to the playlist. After that song was done, another played right after. And it was her favorite song, Dally.
Hyeyeong couldn't tear his gaze away from her. He was so amazed by how she moved. He caught her gaze in the mirror and blushed slightly as she winked and smiled. He looked away only to look back at her a few seconds later.
Once she finished, she looked back at him with a wide smile, panting a bit. "How'd I do?" She said.
"Absolutely amazing." He said with a smile. He then checked the time and got up quickly, his smile dropping. "Crap, I have to go. I'll see you around?" He said quickly, looking up at her apologetically.
She smiled and nodded. "See you around." She said before turning back to the mirrored wall. She watched as he quickly left and put her mask on, walking to her phone to change the playlist. She smiled in satisfaction as the songs changed to more fast paced songs and let her body move along to the music.
After dancing for at least an hour or two, she decided to leave and go back to Jojo's house. Once she arrived, she took a shower and changed into fresh clothes. She sat on the couch and grabbed her phone, she saw the date. She groaned as she got up. She had to change into another whole set of clothes. She'd forgotten that it was the day of the Love Alarm 2.0 presentation.
As she was deciding what to wear, Jojo came into her room. "Hiujin, there's something I have to tell you." She said.
Hiujin noticed she looked a bit uneasy and got a bit worried. "What is it?" She said.
"You know The Ringing World on Instagram?" Jojo said.
"Yeah, I do." Hiujin responded.
"That's me. I just haven't told anybody. And I got invited to the Love Alarm Presentation." Jojo said.
"Really? Wow, I have such a talented sister." Hiujin said, smiling. She hugged Jojo. "Thanks for telling me. I'll keep it a secret, so don't worry."
Jojo let out a soft sigh of relief as she hugged her back which made Hiujin giggle. "I love you Hiujin." Jojo said, smiling.
"I love you too Jojo." Hiujin said as they pulled away. "Do you want to go to the Presentation together? We can be each other's plus one~" She said. She noticed Jojo's worried expression but reassured her. "It'll be fine, people will probably just think you're going as my plus one." She said, placing her hand on Jojo's shoulder gently. "But if you don't want to, it's completely understandable."
"No, it's fine. Let's go together." Jojo said, smiling
