"You used to go to school together!? No way!" Yuk-jo exclaimed, looking at them both with huge eyes, bouncing in her seat.
Hiujin giggled, nodding. "Yeah. It's such a small world." She said, smiling. She took the straw from her drink and began to move around all the ice cubes.
Sunoh looked at her curiously, tilting his head a bit as he sipped his own drink. He wondered if she still liked Hyeyeong. That thought crushed his heart a bit, he didn't know why though.
"So Hiujin, do you have a boyfriend~?" Yukjo asked, smiling as she playfully nudged her arm. She watched Hiujin's expression carefully.
Hiujin smiled and shook her head. "I'm single and perfectly happy." She said softly. "I don't need a partner to make me happy."
"Woah.. Such wise words." Yukjo said, giggling. "But that's good, as long as you're happy." She said, hugging her. Hiujin giggled and nodded, pulling away from her to drink more of her soda.
"So, Hiujin. How's Jojo been? Do you two still keep in touch?" Sunoh asked, smiling softly at her. His heart was racing more than it was at the thought of Jojo. He hadn't seen her in so long so he figured that his heart was racing because of that.
"Jojo's pretty good! I actually saw her before I came here. I'm gonna stay with her for a little while until I get a house of my own." Hiujin said, smiling. She stared down at her drink, watching the bubbles in her soda. Sunoh hummed and nodded, clearing his throat a bit.
The trio sat in an awkward silence as the other people there continued to chat. Hiujin looked at Sunoh with a wide smile.
"Since you asked about my sibling, I'll ask about yours. How's Hyeyeong been? Have you seen him lately?" She said, giggling a bit.
"He's good, actually. We're planning to go to the library soon. I haven't seen him in forever but I have to say, he's gotten handsome. He finally let his hair grow out." He said, chuckling. Hiujin gasped, her eyes wide.
"Really!? Oh my god, finally! I remember how much I used to beg him to let his hair grow out!" Hiujin exclaimed, laughing. Sunoh laughed as well.
"I remember he used to ask me if he should. I asked why and he said because you were saying that he should." Sunoh said, smiling fondly at the memory. Hiujin giggled.
The three of them continued talking for a while, laughing and giggling at memories. As they were talking, Hiujin checked the time and sighed softly.
"Well, I should go.. I don't wanna worry Jojo." Hiujin said as she got up from her seat, smiling at them. Yukjo pouted and whined.
"Okay... We have to spend more time together though!" Yukjo said, pouting as she looked up at Hiujin. Hiujin giggled and nodded.
"I'll reach out to you soon Yukie~" Hiujin said, calling her by her nickname. Yukjo squealed a bit at the use of her nickname which made both Sunoh and Hiujin laugh. Hiujin waved at Sunoh with a smile.
"See you around." She said softly and walked away. She took out her phone and her earbuds, connecting them to her phone. She put them in her ears and put on her playlist, humming along to the songs as she walked to Jojo's house.
