Jungsoon is the criminal.

Although he married jennie, taehyung never visited her palace. He never had any feeling for her.

Taehyung missed jungsoon, but he couldn't go near him knowing he is a man. He adored her, maybe even loved her.. but after all she was a he. How can he love a man? The worst thing is that even knowing that jungsoon is a man, taehyung still felt the same way about him. He wanted to get rid of those feelings, but he couldn't. So the only thing taehyung did was avoid jungkook.

Meanwhile, jungkook was suffering from loneliness. He missed taehyung. He wanted to approach him, but he was afraid. So he started his empress training to erase the loneliness. And he spent his free time with tzuyu hoseok and jimin or with emperor yoongi.

The thought of taehyung cuddling jennie and kissing her haunted the poor prince, causing him to silently weep every night. But he started his morning with a smile as if nothing happened last night.

Though taehyung didn't come to see her, jennie was happy because the distance between Jungsoon and Taehyung was growing.

"Daughter, everything is ready now. All we have to do is chant the last spells and somehow mix the special pill into emperor yoongi's food." Jennie joined in as her father laughed cruelly.

"How about killing two birds with one stone, father?" Jennie smirked, glancing at her father. Her father looked at her with curious eyes.

"We can use jungsoon to serve emperor yoongi's last meal. As far as I know, she usually joins emperor yoongi in the evening for a tea party."

"You're so smart, my daughter. I'm so proud of you. Let's do it. I can get a reliable people to do it."

That night jennie and her father started chanting mantras together. They chanted, using a poppet of emperor yoongi to jab with needles.

"Everthing is alright. Now we need one last jab and it's over. After the maid did her job, we can do it and yoongi will be gone forever."

At the moment, taehyung was with jimin. He was about to tell jimin the truth about jungsoon. He wanted to free his mind somehow and jimin is his best friend, so he can trust him with jungsoon's secret.

But all of a sudden, jimin clutched his head and fell to the ground, groaning in pain. Jimin's eyes gleamed red with hatred for a moment, but before he could say anything, he passed out. The scene made taehyung terrified. He immediately summoned the chief eunuch to bring the royal physician. However, the royal physician said that jimin's health is very good and that there is nothing wrong with him. But because jimin was unconscious, he was made to rest.

He didn't wake up until the next morning. So taehyung left alone to the royal court. Meanwhile, jungkook was going for his training as usual. So the two met on the way, but continued their journey without any conversation. Jungkook sighed as he turned and looked at the retreating figure of the emperor.

Everyone around them was aware of their distance and they were all worried about it. Many were overjoyed at the relationship between their beautiful empress and handsome emperor. So this sudden change brought great anxiety to their minds.

That evening jungkook was going to meet emperor yoongi as usual. On the way, he met a maid who was on her way to emperor yoongi's chamber.

"Are you going to meet the emperor?"

"Yes, your majesty. I'm bringing tea for his majesty."

"I'm going to meet the father. I will take it." When jungkook said, the maid obeyed him. Jungkook took the tray in his hands and headed towards the emperor yoongi's chamber. The emperor's head eunch greeted him and announced his arrival, opening the door for him to enter the emperor's chamber.

"My daughter." Emperor yoongi welcomed jungkook with great joy. Jungkook placed the tea tray on the small table and greeted the emperor.

"Why did you bring tea, daughter? You don't need to do these things." Emperor yoongi sat down, motioning for jungkook to sit across from him.

"I met the maid on the way. That's why I brought it father.."

"Alright, so.. how's your training?"

"My training period is almost over now and court lady said I'm good." Jungkook said pouring tea into small cups.

"I'm glad to hear that. Um.. did something happen between you and taehyung?" Yoongi asked, taking a sip from the tea cup that jungkook served.

"No, father. Nothing happened between us.." Jungkook let out a long sigh. "But all of a sudden, he started avoiding me.. for no reason." Jungkook's voice was filled with pain.

"You should talk to him, jungsoon. That's the only way to solve the problem. Try to talk with him." Emperor yoongi adviced and jungkook nodded.

Suddenly emperor yoongi felt his chest tighten. At the same time, due to the difficulty in breathing, he tightened his chest and started coughing hard. Jungkook was terrified when he saw the emperor's condition.

"HEAD EUNUCH!!! HEAD EUNUCH.. COME QUICKLY!!! FATHER IS HAVING TROUBLE BREATHING!" Jungkook shouted loudly, rubbing the emperor's chest.

As the head eunch and other maids rushed in, emperor yoongi lost his consciousness. Hearing the new, the royal physician hurried to the emperor's chamber and emperor taehyung was already there. Likewise, the whole palace was turned upside down by the news.

After the royal physician examined the emperor, his face took on a serious expression.

"How is my father's condition? What happened to him?" Taehyung questioned, his voice impatient and worried.

"Pardon me, your majesty.. but I have no idea. The emperor's symptoms are difficult to recognize. But I suspect that emperor yoongi has poison in his blood because his eyes and veins are turning black." The royal physician replied.

"What was the last meal or drink the emperor took?" Next he turned to the chief eunuch.

"His majesty had tea after lunch with empress jungsoon a little while ago." The chief eunuch answered in a frightened tone.

"That means there was something in the tea his majesty drank!" Jennie said, entering the chamber.

"But I also drank tea with father and nothing happened to me." Jungsoon stated in a worried tone.

"That's the problem. I heard you brought the tea today." Jennie said, her tone accusing and full of venom.

"But I didn't make it. I met the maid who brought tea on the way and took the tray from her hands." Jungkook replied in a trembling voice. He was very scared.

"But the kitchen maids said that the tray of tea they had prepared was still in the royal kitchen, and no maid fetch the tea at that time." Jennie said in a loud voice, letting everyone know about it.

And everyone looked at jungsoon suspiciously as she succeeded in her plan. Jungkook began to panic and his eyes filled with tears.

Taehyung's heart told him that jungsoon was innocent. But according to jennie, Jungkook was responsible for a serious crime. As the emperor, he must act without favoring anyone and carefully examining the evidence. And since all the evidence was against empress jungsoon, he had no choice but to order empress jungsoon to be remanded in custody until the royal investigation unit investigate this case properly.
