Jennie managed to escape from the palace secretly that night.

When she removed the cloth that covered her face and looked at the clean water, one side of her beautiful face was hideous from the burn. At that moment, jennie's thought of revenge intensified. But she realized that she couldn't fight with taehyung alone. So she decided to find someone who could beat him. Years ago she was told the secret of taehyung's mother by her father. Jennie knew that the dragons who had fought for her were in the hidden valley. So she went into the valley in search of the final solution, the dragons. Luckily for her, she met a powerful cruel dragon king. Initially, jennie was ordered to be killed, but after hearing jennie's story, he agreed to fight taehyung. Jennie further persuaded him, saying that taehyung's partner, jungkook was a blessed and powerful prince. After that, the dragon king hesong desperately wanted to defeat taehyung and get jungkook. So he prepared his dragon army to go to war with taehyung.

"Taehyung.. please.." Jungkook had been pleading to taehyung for about an hour but taehyung still refused it.

"No, jungkook. It's dangerous." Taehyung sighed, cupping jungkook's cheeks with his hands.

"Vantae will take care of me." Jungkook said in whiny tone and taehyung's taehyung's eyes reddened in an instant indicating vantae is in control and he agreed with jungkook. Taehyung took back control, blaming vantae for spoiling jungkook. No matter what jungkook demanded, vantae always agreed.

"But..." Taehyung started but jungkook interrupted him, taking his hand and placing it on his stomach.

"It's not me, it's your son who wants to fly with vante." Taehyung couldn't resist him as he looked at taehyung with his puppy eyes.

"Alright, you won. But be careful and hold me tight." Taehyung agreed, sighing a little. "Wait here, I'll let jimin and general namjoon know. You get ready."

Since he finally got taehyung's agreement, jungkook was ready to jump for joy but taehyung stopped him.

"Be careful.. our baby is in your tummy." Taehyung warned. Nodding at him, jungkook wrapped his arm around his stomach protectively. Taehyung fondly stared at jungkook for a moment, then went to find jimin to hand over duties and informed him that he was going for a fly with jungkook.

After lecturing vantae for what felt like hours, taehyung let him take the control and shifted into his dragon form. Jungkook had a bag of taehyung's clothes to use if needed. Vantae bent over to make it easier for jungkook to climb onto his back. After jungkook settled on his back and held his neck tightly, vantae spread his wings and flew up into the blue sky. He glided through the air flapping his wings up and down to pick up the speed. As vantae flew through the the clouds, jungkook circled his arms around vantae's neck and snuggled into him to get comfortable.

Vantae and jungkook had a good time flying back and forth in the sky for about an hour. Taehyung felt a little jealous, but he let his dragon to have a moment with his mate and remained silent. He knew how strong the bond between them was.

Suddenly, vantae's eyes narrowed as he saw flames spreading from the northern corner of his kingdom. He quickly informed taehyung of what was going on and decided to head over there to find out what was going on.

Taehyung felt his blood boil as vantae's gaze darkened at the sight of screaming people running around in fear. Jungkook's eyes widened in fear and his heart started beating faster. As if his motherly instinct kicked in, his hand covered his stomach protectively.

"What's going on taehyung?"

"Sudden attack jungkook. But this isn't any normal attack. This is a dragon attack."

"They are killing innocent civilians in vain. We must stop them as soon as possible." Vantae turned his head a little to look at jungkook.

"I must take you back to the palace. Then I'll come with the soldiers. I can't put you in danger."

"It's not what we should do at this moment, taehyung. We'll lose more innocent lives as time goes on. Don't worry about me.. I'm sure nothing will happen to me as long as you are by my side."

"But jungkook."

"Please my emperor.. are you not trusting your empress? I think this news already reached the palace by the messengers. We have to fight them until we get backup. And don't you remember what the monk said? As long as we are together, no one can defeat us." Jungkook said in a confident voice. So in the end, taehyung and vantae agreed with him.

"You shouldn't go out of my sight. Understood?" Taehyung warned before flying off towards the northern villages, vowing to somehow protect his people and jungkook, who is carrying his child.

Vantae breathed fire at every dragon they met along the way. Since he was a special dragon, he could defeat those dragons easily because they were weaker than him.

Taehyung managed to stop the advancing dragon army by landing in front of them. After seeing him, hesong stopped with his army, laughing out loud. (A/n; Even in dragon form, they can talk) So the people had the opportunity to run for safety. That's what taehyung wanted too because he has the responsibility of all the people in the empire.

"Ha haa! Look, jennie.. the man we wanted is already here." Hesong said to jennie, who was on his back. As she took off her veil, taehyung shot her a murderous glare. Seeing the woman he thought he had killed now alive and standing right in front of him, he was enraged.

"So.. it's amazing to see me alive, right? You thought I was dead." When jennie started laughing hysterically, taehyung slowly calmed down even though he was angry enough to kill jennie right away. He knew that anger could do nothing.

"Last time you survived without dying. But this time there is no escape for you." Taehyung seethed and jennie gritted her teeth in anger.

"Do you think you can defeat an entire army of dragons? You may not know.. this is hesong, he was one of the dragons who wished to marry your mother. But after your mother eloped shamelessly, he wanted revenge on her." Taehyung was well aware of his mother's life story. He knew very well that she had to run away because of the dragon lords who fought for her only out of greed.. just to own her power. So taehyung thought this was the moment to take revenge for his mother.

"Taehyung, don't let them get you. We can beat them.. so please calm down and keep your mind rational." Jungkook, who had been silent so far, whispered to taehyung.

"But the way, I came to take your beautiful powerful empress instead of your mother." Hesong said glancing greedily at jungkook. As the anger of vante and taehyung overflowed, he blasted a fireball at hesong's army.

Meanwhile,

A soldier on horseback approached the palace and informed general namjoon of the sudden attack. Acting immediately, the general marched towards the northern province with a group of skilled soldiers. Jimin and hoseok were with him as the rest of the crowd hurried to tighten the security at the palace.
