18| Mysterio

Peter's POV
I didn't call Nick Fury to tell him where I was going because most likely he wouldn't pick up, or he would be mad at me.

So I decided to find Mysterio on my own.

Y/N had told me that this mission was dangerous, but I had to do it, I had to do what was right.

It was actually convenient because there was currently an attack I was called for by the river, so I made my way down there, swinging across the buildings, wind crashing against me.

I made it to the river, but I didn't see the drones, all I could see was a large gush of wind by the river.

I swung over and to my surprise Mysterio was already there.

I watched what he did and how his lasers worked.

I was sure he was controlling the attacks and making it look like he was saving the world, when in reality he was destroying it.

"Hey Beck, it's growing stronger!" I shouted to Mysterio.

He had his helmet on, so I didn't see his facial expressions as he looked at me, but I could see his head turn and I could hear him shout, "I have to do this."

I watched as he got all the power he had (supposedly fake power) and shoot his lasers at the big monster.

I watched at the monster grew weaker and began to shrink.

Beck fell to the floor beside the river.

I knew it was an act, but I ran towards him and tried to help him up.

People were now crowding around us, staring intently at Mysterio.

I want watching the people, I was watching where the attack had just taken place to see if there were any drones.

I saw one. A single drone flying away from the river.

I jumped up from beside Beck and ran alongside the river, trying to chase the drone.

I was aimlessly running because I didn't know where the drone would end up, but I was determined to find the drones destination, so I kept running.

I was getting more tired, but I saw the drone turn suddenly.

I followed it and ended up standing in front of a big building.

The doors slowly opened and I crept inside. I could hear voices inside.

"I think the plans working." I man said.

"I think so." Another man replied.
I hid behind a large table by the door so that nobody could see me.

After I was sat behind the table for a while a noise came from behind me, the doors were opening. Mysterio.

He flew in, his cape dropping behind him.

"Get this stupid costume off!" He shouted to no particular person.

A man ran over to him and pulled off his cape.

"The plan. It's working. They are all fooled, even that stupid Peter Parker." Mysterio laughed.

I sat there silently, I couldn't go and confront him because otherwise my plan would be ruined, but I did feel good about myself because Beck thinks he has fooled me.

Once everyone had left the room I quickly got up and went out of the door (which was continently still open slightly)

I swung back to tell Y/N about what I had discovered about Beck.

"I was right!" Was the first thing I said to Y/N. I was out of breath because I had raced back to see her.

"Ok Peter that's great, but take a breath before you pass out." She said.

I took a deep breath before I began to speak about Mysterio again.

"Beck is fooling everyone." I said.

"So what are you going to do?" Y/N asked.

"Well I'm not sure yet, but I'll call Ned and ask him to help me come up with a plan. He's usually pretty good." I said.

"Are you going to tell Fury?" She asked.

"Not yet, I need more proof."

I took one more deep breath and then sat on the bed.

"I will come up with a plan and then everyone will know the truth." I said.
