Peter's POV
Breaking up with Y/N was honestly one of the most painful things I've ever had to do.

Seeing her face when I said the words, watching the tears roll down her face as I was leaving, hearing her voice break as she was telling me to stay with her. It was breaking me.

I never wanted to break up with her, but I can't watch her be injured because of me.

People say "if you love someone, you have to learn to let them go."

I never really understood what that meant because if you love someone you should do whatever you can to make them happy, but seeing Y/N injured because of me made me realise what that meant.

I know now that when she's not with me she will be safe and she deserves someone who can take care of her no matter what.

My intentions weren't to hurt her, but instead to keep her safe.

I love her more everyday and can never stop thinking of her, the way she smiles, the way she laughs at everything, the way she understands a person.

I wish I could see the world as she did, maybe I'd like it more.

She understands everyone differently and she always gives people a chance.

I know I'm just a teenager and when you are a teenager your love life isn't easy, it's complicated because we are seen to be naive and not understand the world, but I have never understood someone as much as I understand Y/N.

I was getting ready to go to school.

This will be the first time I see Y/N since I broke up with her.

I wasn't exactly prepared, but I can't stop going to school, so I grabbed my bag, said goodbye to May and then got into my car.

I was at the coffee shop, the coffee shop I would get Y/N a coffee.

Everything I do makes me think of her.

I went into the shop and grabbed a coffee.

Today is going to be a long day I thought as I got into my car, but I have to be strong.

Once I arrived at school, I tried not to make eye contact with anyone.

"Hey man." Said a voice from behind me.

"It's only you." I said happily.

It was Ned.

He came up to me and gave me a handshake.

Me and Ned made a handshake a while ago and now we do it whenever we see each other.

"We haven't spoken in ages. How are you?" Ned asked.

"We broke up." I said.

"Wait what. You and Y/N, but you were such a cute couple!" Said Ned.

"I told her that being with me was too dangerous."

"That was stupid. She will be hurt whether she's with you or not." Ned said.

I thought about what Ned said.

Maybe Y/N would get hurt if she's with me or not, but I can't go back to her she'd never take me back.
"It's too late now Ned." I said

"Who said that, if you love her, you have to do whatever you can to get her back." Ned said.

Maybe what Ned said was right. Maybe being with me wasn't what was getting her hurt, it was the monsters that were hurting her.

I was in my next class. I didn't have the same lesson as Y/N which was good because I didn't have to face her in person. I hadn't seen her yet today, but I wanted to.

I was trying to focus in my lesson, but I could only think about what Ned had said to me.

Maybe it wasn't my fault.

I pushed the thoughts far back into my mind and tried to focus on my work.

The lesson was now over and I was walking to the cafeteria for lunch.

Ned called my name and I waited for him to catch up with me.

"So are you going to tell her?" Ned asked.

"Ned. Can we just not talk about this right now." I said slightly annoyed.

I really didn't want to talk about it because all I could think about was Y/N and the fact that I can't see her anymore.

Me and Ned did our handshake and then went to go and get some lunch.

As I walked I into the cafeteria, a shoulder brushed against mine. I turned around to see who it was.
"Mj?" I said.

"Yeah Peter, what do you want. You do know how upset Y/N is right?" Mj asked me.

"I know and I really want to talk to her." I said.

"Well you can't. Not yet anyway."

I didn't argue with Mj because I knew I was wrong.

I'm not surprised Y/N didn't want to talk to me and to be honest I don't blame her.

I was sat down on a table in the cafeteria with Ned.

I could see Y/N and Mj sat on a table together (basically on the other side of the cafeteria.)

"Mj said she didn't want to talk to me." I told Ned.

"Don't worry man she'll come around." Ned reassured me.

"Yeah, but what if she doesn't." He asked.

"You can't think like that Peter."

It was now the end of lunch and I was walking to my next lesson.

My mind was crowded with what everyone was saying to me.

"She doesn't want to speak to you. Go speak to her. It wasn't your fault."

I took and deep breath to steady myself for a second.

Why can I not get her out of my head? I thought. I don't understand how something so easy could be this hard.

My phone started to ring, so I reached for my pocket to take it out. Happy?

Why does Happy want to call me? I put the phone to my ear and heard his voice.

"Peter, we need you." Happy said down the phone.

"Why do you need me?" I asked.

"Tony said he needed you Peter. You need to come to Berlin."

"Berlin? I'm at school. I can't just leave." I said.

"Well you're going to have to work something out."

"But Happy..." Happy ended the call. How was I suppose to just drop out of school and go to Berlin.
