I am so happy that Christian is going through with this marriage. I think Ana will be the best thing that has happened to him. Elliott set it up for them to meet, he called it cat fishing, whatever that is. Apparently Ana had placed an on line ad looking for a contractual platonic marriage. Very risky if you ask me, but she could have also been a whacko. I was amazed to the only Steele heir on the GEH jet without any real reasons why. I noticed Elliott looking awfully guilty. He apparently knew who was joining us and she thought she was going to be talking to Christian. Taylor was ordered to check out Ana's briefcase for anything that might give him a clue as what contract she was talking about. We barely had time to look at the documents when the weddings were about to take place. The briefcase was still by us when the weddings started. I read the prenuptial a little more carefully than the marriage contract. I told Christian that she had been very thorough in each document. I also know he was losing contracts due to his being a bachelor. Some big deals and he was getting tired of them trying to negotiate based on it and or trying to set him up with their daughters or even their sons. Because he turned them down they took their contracts elsewhere.
Christian
Dad decided he would oversee the signing of all the legal documents and of course Ana brought her attorney. She definitely had a great attorney on her side. Top female attorney in the state was perusing the final documents as we entered the room. A half hour of finalizing the details we sign and they are notarized and we have copies and the attorneys have copies and a third copy for other reasons. Ana was in a white dress with her hair up and a floral headpiece. She looks beautiful. We had already applied for our marriage license and we are ready to complete this contract.
Ana
I have no idea why I am so nervous, yes I do this is life changing and for four years with an out in a year. I was ready to get this over with and we start this marriage on its path. Christian told me his mother and grandparents could not know about it being fake. Elliott, Kate and Mia had signed NDAs concerning the fact it was a contracted deal. By the time we were done I was starving. We even had a small wedding cupcake creation with our favorite flavors. Christian surprised me with it. Along with a beautiful diamond engagement ring and wedding band that matched his band. I thought I was into the details, he made sure it all went like it was a real marriage. His mother wasn't happy about the courthouse marriage. But she welcomed me anyway. She threw a welcome to the family party. It was her snobby friend Elena and her snooty daughter Rachael. Apparently he was earmarked to marry Rachael according to them. Talk about gold digging Bs. Elena's husband Gregg Lincoln just rolled his eyes and said like he ever gave Rachael the time of day. He told me to ignore his wife and daughter for their rudeness and walked over to talk to Christian. I walked away from them to talk to my dad. I heard the catty remarks and just ignored them. Until I noticed later that Christian was followed into the house by Rachael. I decided to go rescue my husband.
Rachael
I waited for my chance to get Christian alone like mom told me to do. He disappeared into the bathroom and I decided to follow him.
Ana
Excuse me take your hand off that door, Christian is in there and I know you are aware of it.
Christian
I jerk the door open and Rachael is holding onto the doorknob. I was about to use the restroom do you mind? Ana join me won't you.
Ana
I walk past Rachael and join Christian I remove her hand from the doorknob and say excuse us please and close the door in her face. I lock the door and smile and tell him to complete his business as I turn my back to him.
Christian
Well done. She's not getting the hint even with me being married. I can't believe what that girl and her mother have done to try trap me into marriage.
Ana
He completes his actions and washes his hands and I was mine as well, who knows where Rachael had her hands before touching that doorknob. He laughs and says how true.
Christian
The temporary housekeeper arrives tomorrow, can you take time to be there and show her what room you want to stay in?
Ana
If you let me know the time, the packers have everything ready. Do you have an extra place for a desk for me to do my work and a possible office area?
Christian
Yes I have had an extra bedroom setup as a home office for you. Desk, printer, computer and sofa and chair and you have your own complete bathroom. I wished I had thought to have one in my office here at home. I think I will ask Elliott to see if it can be done.
Ray
I walk up and hug Ana and ask her why she married Christian? Her answer surprised me.
Ana
I married him because he and I love each other can you tell how we can't get enough of each other?
Ray
Christian is this true?
Christian
I lean over and pull Ana into a very passionate kiss just to keep her father from digging too deep into our marriage. He finally says okay enough I get it.
Ray
I am very suspicious about all of this marriage nonsense, it's just too convenient. He definitely isn't after her trust or the company, because he has his own and he's still making money every second. I mean he is a multi billionaire. Ana without her trust us a millionaire in her rite. Her grandfather left her the Steele Company and a huge trust fund. He changed his will after I refused to marry Ana's mother. He was even further angered by me when he found out how I destroyed Ana's mom in court to get full custody of Ana. I get all the perks of being a Steele, but I will never be a billionaire. He left me a nice sum and the job of running the Steele company with a great salary. But once Ana turned 18 she would be trained to run the company and eventually outright own it. It would be her choice to keep me on or not. That happens in two months. At this point I am worried about my status in the company.
