A New Life

Kate
Mom is dating a doctor now. Charles Duncan he is a widow now with three grown children. He asked Grace if she could invite him to a family BBQ just to meet her. I give him points for courage and coming to the family BBQs that usually ends disastrously. But he might be our lucky charm. It ended very well, everybody laughing and we met Robert and his mother Samantha. At first Ethan thought he shouldn't be there since Samantha and her parents were going to be there, but he came and he took care of Robert as much as Samantha and the family would allow him to. He apologized to Samantha and her parents and they weren't happy but accepted the apology for the sake of the baby and the family BBQ. He has been in therapy and us making amends to everyone.
Ethan
I apologized profusely and they accepted, but will truly never forget how they have Robert. I asked to hold him and at first they were worried. They had me sit and put him in my arms. He's gorgeous a combination of me and Samantha. I ask if they need anything for him. But apparently mom has been making sure Robert has the best and is well cared for. Which I am glad. I ask if I can see him if the feel comfortable to allow me to visit him. They were hesitant at first but says they can let me visit him occasionally.
Robert Jones Samanthas father
We just don't want you alone with Samantha. You can visit him when I am home until we trust you. Which I don't think will ever happen. My daughter had big plans and you took her future and changed it with your selfishness. Remember that each time you look at a young lady. See Aubrey over there her life was changed by a man as well. Men and boys have a responsibility to think about what heir actions towards females might change for the female they rape or have sex with before they take what they want and leave the female to cleanup the mess. I and the product of a teenage rape myself. My mom bless her heart gave me her all. She died the day after my college graduation. Money was so tight she failed to take care of herself. Her death was due to malnutrition. My daughter will never be in my mothers position ever. Mom hid the fact she was barely able to afford food. So you think about that. I think about that and thought about it with each lady I dated. Mothers are mothers from conception. Fathers are only fathers when they create a baby with someone they love and respect and stick around to raise the child. You have one chance don't screw it up. Samantha is giving Robert everyone she can from your mother to your sister and now you, but your father gets anywhere near Samantha and it's over. I figure he influenced your actions. Don't be him or like him. Keep straight. Don't ever threaten me, my family and especially not Samantha ever again. I saw the videos you are lucky I haven't hurt you.
Ethan
Yes sir I am. I will make the most of my chance with you. And will never blow it again. I am a work in progress. I hope I can be a good parent one day. I hold little Robert as his eyes close.
Anita Jones
I have to go by Samantha and her choices in this, but if I had my way he would never know you. She is far more forgiving than I am.  Robert and I have been together since high school we waited until we got our degrees and jobs to get married and the have sex. So we have a whole different outlook on what you did. Keep that in mind. Okay let's try to enjoy the party. Grace has a place for the babies inside if you want to lay him down.
Ethan
I would love to hold him if you don't mind. They allow me to hold y son. At six months old he is perfect.  Kate comes over and meets the Jones and mom follows and Samantha is with her.
Kate
He is adorable I am having a girl and it's abut time for a baby girl in this family. Look at all the baby boys. Anita agrees as she sees the boys toddling around.
Grace
I am so glad you came I tell the Jones family and look at the baby in Ethans arms. Mia is keeping her distance at this point. Shawn and her are hanging out with Ana and Christian. Aubrey is chasing all the toddlers around. Clark is watching everything. He hasn't been feeling well and he has asked Carrick if he could have an appointment with him soon.
Clark
My days are numbered and I want someone to be there for Aubrey and Joey. Her 18th birthday is coming soon and I want someone I can trust to look after the estate until she can herself. Carrick can get a handle on that for me.
Carrick
Grace said that Clark isn't looking well and she thinks he is wanting to see me about making sure no one takes advantage of Aubrey and her inheritance. She stands to inherit quite a large amount just from Clark. Christian does as well. I can just imagine how that will go down. I mean GEH is a monster company in and of itself. Then you add Clark's company into the mix and Lord help us all. Christian said he has his hands full as it is and if that happens he will have to create more COO positions across the world. He has a few he is going to hire in the next six months after their contracts end with their current places. Suddenly we hear a scream and I see Grace holding Kate up and trying to get her inside the house.
Three hours later and a lot of people in the hospital waiting room we get the news.
Elliott
Kate is three weeks early, her labor pains hit her hard, so hard her screams bounced off the bay. Mom got her inside and I followed quickly and mom said we have to get an ambulance now.
Carrick
Elliot is pale watching Kate unconscious on the gurney and us leading him to the ambulance. He asks for Grace to go with her in case she is needed. I lead him to the car and we drive to the hospital. I think he's in shock.
Grace
They had to take Kate into surgery and perform a cesarean to get the baby out quickly. Kate is in serious condition, but they got the bleeding stopped. She had placental abruption and it came on quickly and we got her in fast. So survival of both mother and daughter is pretty good. Both are in the icu units.
Three days later both mother and baby are awake and alert.

Remind me why I wanted to have a baby again?

Keeping up with the Jones lol. Ava Grace Grey is beautiful and you know it. You wouldn't change a thing except the placate abruption. She is tiny but loud. She is woman hear her roar. She is definitely your daughter all 5 pounds 6 ounces and 15 inches long of her.
