I get back to my room and let my hair down. I slowly catch my breathe as I move back over to the mirror. I look at the bruises on my neck, I sit down at the desk. I set my head in my hands as someone knocks on the door.
"Go away"
"Alicia."
I stand up and walk over to the door, I see Natasha standing there.
"Come in."
She slowly walks in and sits on the edge of the bed. She looks up at me worriedly, I shut the door.
"What's happen"
I look over at her, I've never really been shocked or speechless.
"Alicia, are you alright."
"I'm fine, just training. I was about to take a shower."
"I know your lying, I'm here for you whenever you need me."
"I thank you for that, if it's ever important then I'll tell you."
She smiles and walks out of the door, I quickly lock it and go into the bathroom. I get undressed and into the bath, the hot water surrounds my body. I lean back and sink down, I let my worries leave me.

I'm walking down to the lab with Rogers, we're near the door when I see Stark zap Bruce with a pen.
"Stark, are you nuts."
"You really have got a lid on it, haven't you? What's your secret? Mellow jazz? Bongo drums? Huge bag of weed?"
He just looks at Bruce, I move over to his side as he keeps messing with the staff.
"Is everything a joke to you?"
"Funny things are."
"Threatening the safety of everyone on this ship isn't funny. No offense, Doctor."
"No, it's alright. I wouldn't have come aboard if I couldn't handle pointy things."
"You're tiptoeing, big man. You need to strut."
"And you need to focus on the problem, Stark."
He looks at me then back to the man in spandex.
"You think I'm not? Why did Fury call us and why now? Why not before? What isn't he telling us? I can't do the equation unless I have all the variables."
"You think Fury's hiding something?"
He walks over to another table just to return with a bag of blueberries.
"He's a spy. Captain, he's the spy. His secrets have secrets."
He points to Bruce and I look down, I grip onto the table.
"It's bugging him too, isn't it?"
"Uh...I just wanna finish my work here and..."
"Doctor?"
"A warm light for all mankind, Loki's jab at Fury about the cube."
"I heard it."
He points at the playboy and then looks at me and Rogers.
"Well, I think that was meant for you."
Tony holds out the bag and Bruce grabs a few. I shake my head at them.
"Even if Barton didn't post that all over the news."
"Stark Tower? That big ugly..."
Tony gives him a look, I lightly smirk and look to Bruce.
"...building in New York?"
"It's powered by Stark Reactors, self-sustaining energy source. That building will run itself for what, a year?"
"That's just the prototype. I'm kind of the only name in clean energy right now."
"So, why didn't SHIELD bring him in on the Tesseract project? I mean, what are they doing in the energy business in the first place?"
He looks at me for a moment then frowns.
"I don't understand why he wouldn't bring you in. He has nothing on file about you, and you've been on earth of years. If you're from their world then why wouldn't he bring you in to help defeat Loki."
I sit down, I just look down at my hands.
"I should probably look into that once my decryption programmer finishes breaking into all of SHIELD's secure files."
Rogers and I both look at him taken aback by this.
"I'm sorry, did you say...?"
"Jarvis has been running it since I hit the bridge. In a few hours we'll know every dirty secret SHIELD has ever tried to hide."
He holds out a bag of blueberries.
"Blueberry?"
I lightly smile and step closer to him, I nod my head.
"I'm more of a strawberry person."
"Yet you're confused about why they didn't want you around?"
"An intelligence organization that fears intelligence? Historically, not possible."
I step between them, everyone's attention is on me. I walk over to Bruce and he smiles at me, he keeps working as Rogers and Stark seems to want to argue.
"I think Loki's trying to wind us up. This is a man who means to start a war, and if don't stay focused, he'll succeed. We have orders, we should follow them."
"Following is not really my style."
I see Rogers smile at the man, I look down at the staff.
"And you're all about style, aren't you"
I can tell that Steve hit a nerve, I put my hand on both of their chest as I watch them.
"Of the people in this room, which one is; A. wearing a spangly outfit, and B. not of use?"
"Steve, tell me none of this smells a little funky to you?"
He takes in the possibility, but as an obedient soldier, shakes it off. I turn to face him, I try to relax my shoulders.
"I think we should listen to them, something doesn't feel right."
He looks at me then back at Stark.
"Just find the cube."
He walks out of the lab. Still torn apart by the possibility. I look at Stark, he just seems to watch me.
"That's the guy my dad never shut up about? Wondering if they shouldn't have kept him on ice."
"The guy's not wrong about Loki. He does have the jump on us."
"What he's got is an ACME dynamite kit. It's gonna blow up in his face, and I'm gonna be there when it does."
"And I'll read all about it."
"Uh-huh. Or you'll be suiting up like the rest of us."
