It was a nice and sunny day. I was on my way home with my twin sister,
Avery. We had just got back from our best friend's house. So far the day
was looking awesome, and with a delicious black-raspberry chip ice cream cone
melting in my hand it was just getting better. I must have jinxed it because
my Mom and Dad were waiting for us with fake smiles on their faces. As we
got to the door my worry started growing. I knew me and my sister were
thinking the same fearful idea. Something bad was about to happen. I sat down next to Avery on our old red velvet couch. "Listen..." my mother announced. She started crying. Now I was really worried. "My shop has been shut down." My heart dropped suddenly. I couldn't breathe. I did not believe the words I heard. "We have to move." she added to her heartbreaking speech. My sister stood up. There were tears in her eyes but she didn't cry. She was angry. She crossed her arms and yelled "No. I won't go. This is my home." "You can't do this to us,'' I added. My Dad looked furious that we said something but at the same time I saw a glimpse of proudness in his eyes but I was too infuriated to care. "What about our friends, school, and-" then my sister interrupted me. "My soccer team." Now she was crying. She had been on her soccer team with her friends and it was her life since forever. "This is not up to you go pack we are leaving soon!" my mom yelled. My sister ran upstairs trying not to show her sadness and I stomped up after her.
