I walk back inside. My sister was telling my Mom about her day and my Dad was washing his car. "Some people in this town think our house is haunted." he claimed. "That explains why people act so weird around us."Avery blurted. "Me and your Father are leaving for the night. We are going to talk to some possible clients. Go straight to bed at 10 no later. No junk food and stay inside." my Mom persisted. "K." I replied.

After my parents left my sister sat on the couch and watched t.v. I was going upstairs when I stepped on something. It was Maybelle's necklace. I picked up and the bright yellow necklace opened. A key fell out. Then a light bulb went off in my brain. I ran outside and tuned on my flashlight on my phone. My sister came running out after me and turned on the flashlight on her phone too. "Mom told us to stay inside!" she yelled. I tried to ignore but then she was standing right next to me so it was pretty impossible. There were shrieks coming from the shed, each one louder than the one before. To my surprise came Maybelle running out wearing a pink unicorn onesie with her curly hair all down. "What are you doing? I'm afraid you're not being perfectly marvelous at all ." she chirped. I opened the lock and a big bright light boomed out that should have blinded us. I guess I was in a mood because what I was doing was insane. I pulled open the door which would have been the dumbest thing I have ever done if it weren't for what happened next. I yelled and made the ghost realize the door was open. He flew out. His eyes were staring right at me, his chains banging against the ground, and his black robe was flowing in the cold night wind. I didn't know what I was thinking. I didn't have a plan! "Quickly! Follow me! Macey come on!" I heard Maybelle and Avery yell. We climbed up the side of the house through a hidden passageway. "What now?!" I asked. The ghost was getting closer. I could hear it's shrieks getting louder. Maybelle was pulling some old dusty book out from behind some boards. She opened it and wailed some weird words I couldn't understand.
