Then it was silent and I could not hear a sound. We all went looking for the ghost, still timid incase we found it. "I think it's gone. " I announced. "I'm very crossed with you." Maybelle howled. "I am SO sorry. "I begged. "What just happened. "muttered Avery. "Is everyone ok." I asked. "What just happened?" Avery muttered. "This is all my fault." I apologize. "What just happened! "Avery yelled. Before anyone could answer her we heard super loud shrieking coming from the shed again and a car pull up. We had to think fast. We did horrible make up, got on old costumes and boas and started singing old children's songs and jumping around. We were louder than the ghost in the shed. When our parents came up we made it look like our neighbor came over and that we were having fun with her.

"I can't believe it worked." Avery barked. "Listen now you know my not so marvelous secret. You have to help me now. We have to get rid of him by unlocking the box of chains by the blue moon Halloween at midnight." Maybelle announced. "Wait a second we don't have to plus that's this Saturday which is in two days." Avery argued. "Anyone who knows the secret will get locked in the shed like the ghost if that ghost isn't freed by the deadline." Maybelle explained in a not perfectly marvelous tone of voice.

That night Maybelle spent the night. She had to stay over a lot for the next two days. We had to go over the plan a lot and Avery asked a lot of questions. I must have heard the word marvelous about one hundred million times but when it was Halloween we were ready. The ghost got louder by the minute. Maybelle's parents were out of town so my Mom and Dad took her little brother Tommy trick-or-treating. I was terrified and I'm 12 years old and have seen every horror film known to man but Maybelle did not show the tiniest but of fear and she was 6 and the scariest film she has ever seen is Mickey Mouse's Halloween Party. It was time to go. There was a big neon web all around the shed that would bling the ghost and shock him when it is time. Then a cage would drop down and trap him. After that is the tricky part we have to open the box full of chains and trap those chains in another box before they fly away. Finally we will have to bring down the barrier and cage at the same time and destroy the lock on the shed keeping the ghost inside.
