Potters Return

Part 3: Maze

Harry's POV:

After Padfoot was done licking my face I sit up and hug him.

"Everything is going to be just fine. Give these to Fred, George, Hermione, Ginny, and Ron when the time is right. Keep the last one for yourself."

I put 2 pins on his collar, 2 necklaces around his neck, and 2 bracelets on his left and right paw. The 2 pins had WT on them. One necklace had a G, while the other had an H. One bracelet had an R, while the other had an S. He looked at me worriedly, and I smile back at him and nod to the others.

"Now go up there and sit on Fred and George for me. Everyone seems tense, and I will see you later. While I go through the maze you will be able to see what I see."

He nods and runs up to the stands and sits on Fred and George. Everyone around them laughs at their misfortune. They all look at me and I give a small smile.

Bagmen came out and explained the rules. When he blows the whistle Cedric and I enter and head to the fork. We look at each other, nod, and split up. That's when I hear the whistle a second time and know Krum has entered the maze. I then come to a turn and I hear the whistle a third and final time. I wait for Fleur at the turn.

When Fleur arrives we walk together in silence. I would occasionally say point me for the Point Me Spell to my wand to make sure we were headed in the right direction.

"Harry, do you find it odd that we haven't run into anything?"

Just as she finishes her question a Blast-Ended Screwt came out of nowhere. I look back at Fleur and put a finger to my lips signaling for her to stay quiet and follow me.

Once we made it a safe distance from the Screwt we come to a fog and walk into it and continue walking. As we were walking we hear talking up ahead of us and see 3 figures up ahead. I then hear a riddle and smirk.

"I believe that would be a spider you are thinking of."

Fleur, Krum, and Cedric look at me along with the sphinx. She looks at me and moves aside for us to pass. We move past and see the cup up ahead. We smile at each other and start walking towards it. I then hear a noise coming from up ahead.

"Guys, wait I hear something up ahead, and it sounds big." I then gasp realizing what it is. "I think sphinx was giving us a warning of what is ahead of us."

Just then an Acromantula comes charging at us. We all point our wands as it shows their underbelly and we all shout stupify. It falls over unconscious. We all look at each other and laugh. We start towards the cup again and we feel the ground moving.

I look down and notice that roots from the bushes are coming out of the ground. As I was behind everyone I run past Fleur, and Krum taking their hands and they start running. They look back and start running faster. All 4 of us trip on a root and we all touch the cup.
