Stanley parks his car a block away from the woods that lead to the Barrens, and all of the losers get out of the car. Richie stretches his legs slightly as they'd gone numb from Eddie sitting on his lap. Eddie waits for him and then they catch up with the others. The six all walk through the woods until they reach the clearing. Mike hasn't finished setting up, so Bill and Ben help.

Richie glances at the brunette beside him, who is shaking against the February air. He wants to give him his blazer, but he doesn't want Eddie to refuse. Eddie reaches into his fanny pack and pulls out his inhaler, placing it into his mouth and pulling the trigger due to being out of breath from the wall to the Barrens.

"Done!" Ben cheers as they finish setting up. There's fairy lights lazily hanging around the trees, a disco ball hanging from a branch, their own snack table set up with endless snacks and drinks. On the snack table is a boom box with Richie's mixtape already playing.

Bill, Beverly, Mike and Ben instantly start dancing along to Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. Stan's getting himself a drink but Richie and Eddie stay together at the entrance of the clearing, Eddie rambling about how he's going to get a cold and the cold will go straight to his chest and make him more ill due to his asthma.

"Would you like my blazer?" Richie asks, cutting Eddie off mid rant. Eddie looks up at him, confusion swirling in his brown eyes before he nods. Richie shrugs his blazer off and wraps it around Eddie, who slides his arms into the sleeves. It looks massive on him and smells exactly like Richie, which is cigarette smoke and bad cologne. Richie smiles. Eddie looks cute.

"Cute cute cute!" He states, pinching Eddie's cheek with a high laugh.

"Get off!" Eddie groans, moving Richie's hand away from his cheek. Richie laughs once more and Eddie smiles at him, reassuring the taller boy that he isn't annoyed by his antics. Eddie actually finds them really comforting." What snacks are there?"

"Umm, fruit roll ups. Some cupcakes made by Stans mom. Chips, candy." Richie lists and Eddie nods, walking off to the snack table. Richie watches him go and then Stan joins him at the entrance of the clearing." Don't."

"Don't what?" Stan asks, sipping on his bottle of water. Richie would make a joke about Stan being a boring old man, but he wasn't really in the mood to joke.

"Tease me about Eddie. I'm gay. I get it." Richie sighs and Stan looks at him, his face contorting in concern. Richie glances at him.

"I wasn't going to. I actually came to say that the music is super good." Stan says and Richie sighs, mentally kicking himself." Relax a bit, Richie. Enjoy yourself, okay? Let loose. Be affectionate to Eddie. We won't judge. We're used to it."

Richie laughs at that and Stan nods towards Eddie, who's looking at the food still. Richie smiles and then walks over to Eddie. He places a hand on the smaller boys shoulder, making him jump.

"Shit! Richie!" Eddie snaps. Richie removes his hand quickly, a blush rising in his face." Don't scare me like that!"

"That's what your mom said last night." Richie jokes and it's one of his worst. It doesn't even land. Eddie glares at him, hands on his hips. Richie chuckles awkwardly and rubs the back of his neck." Sorry...uh...your outfit...is...um..."

"My outfit is what?!" Eddie says quickly and defensively, sick of Richie acting weird." What is my outfit, Richie? Insult it...go on! I know you want to."

"I'm not going to. I...I actually really like it. You look...handsome, Eddie. It compliments everything. It all fits. Plus your...hair...is um...I'm glad you decided against gelling it. It...ah...it looks much better natural. Your wavy hair is fluffy and...and it looks nice." Richie stumbles his way through the compliments. Eddie is staring up at him, completely bewildered." Suh-sorry. God I made you uncomfortable. Ah, shit. I suck at this!"
