Piercing through the heavy freckles of the outer rim, the LAAT/I's hissed as they neared the large republic freighter ship.
Anakin peered out of the slit windows and smirked, "Well, Jesse, I suppose this is the moment we decide whether we chuck you out into the stars or allow you to join us."
"Don't scare him," Jupiter teased, punching his arm. She smiled towards Jesse, "Ignore him."
Jesse perked up, gazing through the tinted screen of his helmet, "I wasn't listening to him anyway, miss."
"It's Jupiter," She hummed, adjusting her footing so she stays stable as the gunship's lowered themselves into the belly of the freighter.
Kenobi turned to Rex with his soft features and nodded once again. Gibson observed this. It was bizarre. How they were communicating through the occasional head nods or waves of their arms. He sniffled before being rudely interrupted by Skywalker once again, "Don't think too hard about it, mandalorian."
Jesse gave him a hostile glare yet it was hidden by his navy helmet. He supposed that was for the best. He didn't fancy conflict in such a tight space. The gunship lowered itself further into the ship before setting itself down as softly as possible. Sliding open, the doors revealed the clones marching back and forth and deck-men cleaning and moving property of the republic. Everyone diffused from the ship and onto the deck of the hanger. Kenobi paused, holding a short conversation with the Captain before turning towards Jesse. "Don't be too confused, Gibson. You'll get used to it," He mused, patting the young male across his shoulder blades before slinking off with Anakin and Jupiter. Jesse scrambled behind, observing the symmetrical warriors and other unmarked men carrying out maintenance. The small group paused and began to hold a conversation. A rather intriguing conversation.
Anakin grumbled as he turned to the older jedi. Kenobi allowed his face to settle; He said, "I wonder where Mister Gibson would stay. We're lacking living quarters."
Anakin almost flinched as he shook his head, "No offence, master, but i don't feel safe sharing a room with a character like that."
Jupiter frowned, "I don't think i have enough room." Well, she did but she didn't particularly feel comfortable having to share a room with jesse. I mean, look at him. He's completely baffled by the hangar. She shook her head clear just in time to listen to Obi-Wan's response.
"I suppose i have enough room for him," He muttered, rubbing his beard. "I could get one of the maintenance clones to instal another bed," Kenobi added, peering over at Jesse as the newcomer occupied the time of a passing clone.
If he was being honest, the jedi was amazed by him. He saved him from separatists and now acts like that entire palaver never happened. Jesse hadn't boasted about it or mentioned any fraction of it to anyone he had just met. He seemed to be quite reserved and appeared to be a hard character to crack.
Anakin broke his thoughts with his coarse tone, "Is that sorted, Master? You're bunking with helmet boy?"
Kenobi huffed, "Yes Anakin. But, I insist, be more nice to the man."
"Yes master," The saddened tone fell from his tongue as Jupiter made a snarky comment, which erupted into a subtle flirting match between the master and his padawan.
They're interaction was halted as an orange-tinted clone pushed his way past Jesse to access the crowd of jedi. "Genera Kenobi, General Skywalker, General Kloon And General Fisto wish to see you in command centre. It's regarding the newbie," The clone instructed, saluting subtly before standing order.
Anakin perked away from Jupiter and Kenobi alerted away from his daydreaming about the newcomer. Kenobi opened his maw but was immediately cut off by Anakin, "Commander Sunshine," He hummed, smiling. Kenobi rolled his icy gaze before chuckling, "Thank you, Commander."
The clone nodded, slipping away from the group and distributing Jesse a rather hostile glare.
Jesse shook it off before obeying as his name was beckoned by Kenobi. "Jesse, you and Jupiter remain here. We'll be back shortly."
Jupiter huffed, shaking her head, "They never take me anywhere."
The dirty blonde warrior gazed down towards the padawan. Damn, she was short. "Maybe because you're an apprentice," He replied.
"That makes me no less important."
"It kind of does. You're not exactly a master like them. You're just learning," Jesse grumbled, adjusting his helmet with a few taps of his masked fingers. Jupiter frowned and furrowed her brows, "I'm sure Master Kenobi and Master Skywalker are still learning. Everyone continues to learn everyday."
"What's up with calling them masters?"
Jupiter snarled, folding her arms across her chest after adjusting her raven locks, "It's out of respect. They're a much higher rank then myself and these clones," She gestured towards the milky warriors, which triggered Jesse to turn towards them. "Those freaky dudes? They're all look the same...what a life."
"It prevents us from forming bonds with them. They're warriors for the republic and would happily give their lives for us."
"With them and a kid like you? Damn, the republic must be desperate."
"I'm not a 'kid', Mister Gibson. I'm eighteen, thank you. I have almost finished my training," She boasted, puffing out her chest.
"Wow, what a flex," Jesse replied, smirking below his helmet.
