Two weeks had gone by from the incident. Today is Josh's birthday! I am planing to take him out today after school. Well, lets start the day! I drive Ethan and Josh (now 9!) to Starbucks. I let them each buy something they want today. (Why not?) Ethan picks a pink cake pop and Josh goes for the double chocolate one. I tell them after they finish them they can play. Josh eats his in two bites (He is such a big boy!), while it takes Ethan a little longer. " Mom, can you time how fast it takes me to run from here to there?" he says, pointing to a distant tree. " Sure" I say. I set a stopwatch on my newest model of phone and he takes off. About thirty seconds in, a littler kid starts running along side him. Aww, the little kid with big Josh. After another thirty seconds, they make it to the tree. As Josh is taking a little break, the little kid comes up and PUSHES my big Joshie! I scream and start running towards the pair. It takes me a whole thirty seconds to make it on over there, but I am there. I get a close look at this little boy who hurt my Joshie. It was that little boy Johnny! I pick up my Joshie and dust him off. I whip around to look at the little brat who dare hurt my Joshie. " We are going to find your mother, young man!" I say angrily. We start walking back. " And on my birthday..." sniffles my poor Joshie. We walked the rest of the length in silence. We go inside the Starbucks, and I immediately am on the hunt for Susan. Aha! Found her! I walk over and sit down. " Your kid PUSHED my Josh!" I said. (I called him Josh instead of Joshie because he doesn't like being called Joshie) " If I didn't see it, it didn't happen" says Susan. " Listen here, SUSAN, its my kids birthday and you are not going to ruin it." I say, feeling the anger swell up inside of me like a balloon. " THIS WOMAN IS HARASSING ME!" screams Susan. " What? I- no I'm not!" I say as two employees walk over to us. " Whats going on?" says one particularly cute dude. " I- nothing is wrong" I manage to say. " Actually, sir, this woman is harassing me and my kid." says Susan. " What? No I'm not!" I say. " Ok well just don't talk to each other ok?" says the second, geekier employee. " Ok.." I say. I grab my kids and get out of there, not even bothering to finish my cappuccino. I drop my kids off at school and don't even bother playing hit super cool 2000 songs on my way home.
