3 Days Later (Monday, November 5th):

Training Field 1 - Mara P.O.V.

Okay, when Marcie and Darren called this students-only meeting, I figured we would try and sort out what happened on Friday and decide on some rules going forward. According to Darren, they don't want the faculty deciding for us causing more unrest leading to the buildup of malevolence leading to more problems than we can handle. Also, there's one more event left in the blitz and from what I hear, it's a real doozy. "Alright, settle down," Marcie gets everyone's attention getting this meeting started. "I'm not going to beat about the bush about what we need to discuss, but we need to decide on some new regulations before the faculty decides to piss everyone off."

"You can say that again," someone shouts leading to a barrage of noise coming from all directions. "Your team is way too strong for us to deal with."

"Yeah," someone else shouts over the noise.

This is getting annoying fast. I know we're all high school students but damn, this is ridiculous that we complain about everything. I take one look at my friends who are all shaking their heads. I then turn back to the crowd remembering what Aurora told me in our recent training session yesterday to not be afraid to take charge. I still don't know what she meant but this noise needs to stop. "Hey!" I shout at the top of my lungs causing all conversations to stop on the spot. "Enough!" That shut everyone up. "Now, my friends and I want to talk about what's happened in the last few weeks and we have some other stuff to share that we don't want the teachers to know about." I glance at Marcie nodding letting her take over since she's in charge.

"Thanks, Mara." She motions me to her side to keep everyone quiet. "Anyone else want to say something smart? You'll have to deal with her." She looks out at the rest of our fellow students. "Now, first we need to talk about the armatus and what's been happening in the last few events. I know you third and fourth-years pride yourselves on using this basic version you're given but I also know there are some who have personalized armanti and that includes me."

Darren walks up and people trust his word just as they do Marcie's. He looks at the wreckage the Earth Elementals are still trying to repair and they've been at it since Friday afternoon. "First, we need to address what's been going on lately and what led to what happened on Friday. Now, Marcie and I will admit that we had an indirect role in what happened. Back in Light of the Scarlet Sun, the two of us casted the domain spell Scarlet Veil that gives all Light and Fire Elementals a power boost. That domain spell is still active."

"So, is that why our overall power has gone up?" a Fire Elemental speaks up. I recognize him, third-year Barin Orlosky, from the school's track team. "I feel stronger when I'm training or in class."

"Same goes for me," some girl agrees with him. I'm guessing she's another Fire Elemental.

"But," Darren reclaims the discussion, "to explain what happened on Friday, I have to explain the full nature of Scarlet Veil. Yes, the spell gives Fire and Light Elementals a power boost but it also enables armatization to be possible given the right circumstances." He looks down on the first row of students huddled around us. "Isaac."

The guy we met on Friday stands up and turns to the rest of the students. "All third-years know that we get a generic armatus to use when we have class in the arenas or the training fields. Also, there are protective wards set in place to safeguard people if the armanti gets out of control. I'll be honest with you all, I've never anticipated what happened on Friday leading to some of you getting hurt."

"As Issac so elequently put it, the wards that are in place on this training field is the same one that was on the arena. However, no one anticipated what happened on Friday. Two Elementals engaged in battle using personalized armanti which overwhelmed the protective wards that were in place causing those wards to fail."
