16: Celestial Passage and the Leaders' Tale of Succession

3 Days Later (Monday, February 18th):

Training Field 1 - Mara P.O.V.

The sun is barely up and already things are hectic. I know I'm going to get a guardian spirit today and that'll enable me to armatize but the ritual to open this celesital gate or whatever . . . is totally crazy.  According to Aurora's spirit partner, the ritual to open this gate is crazy complicated but Darren managed to clear it up during the Council meeting on Friday.  I look to my right seeing Mystic Soul Leader Izuki, who's here by the Student Council's request, talking to Sakura and Marcie through their parts of this whole thing.  Honestly, I don't have a clue what's going on but all I know is that I have to go to this other plane.  I look left seeing Darren talking to Izumi, Kasia, and Issac about supplying the necessary power.  From yesterday's meeting, I have to cast my domain along with Darren's support spells and Marcie's support spell to amplify the power we need.

"Ready?" Darren pats me on the back getting my attention.  I turn to him with a nervous smile.  "All you'll have to do is channel the power we give you between yourself and Sakura. The rest of us will do the heavy lifting. Now, let's get you a guardian spirit."

"Yeah," is all I can say. I have no idea what's about to go down but I want to be able to armatize with most of the rest of my friends.

Darren turns around clapping his hands drawing everyone's attention. "Okay everyone," he belts turning all eyes onto him, "we're doing this by the book and while the sun's out. Our fellow classmates are going to be eager to get on with their shortened day so let's make this quick." He turns to Izumi, Kasia, and Isaac. "Okay you three," he raises his right arm in the air. "On my go, you'll send your power to Marcie who'll split that power between Sakura and Mara. Conversely, with the combination of Mara's domain, my and Marcie's support spells, you only need to carry out the transfer for about forty-five seconds. While that's going on, I'll provide the power boosts along with Marcie." He turns back to me. "All you have to do is channel the power and open the gate - okay?" I nod not understanding anything he's saying. He turns around. "Alright, let's do this!" he drops his arm and the power transfer begins.

Darren P.O.V.

Kasia, Izumi, and Isaac begin their power transfer allowing Marcie and I to get to work ourselves. "Heaven's Oasis!" Mara casts her domain over the entire training field. Instantly, everyone feels this easiness as the ritual picks up.

I look around as the power begins to slowly build up. "My turn," I close my eyes letting my power build up. "Fire Phoenix: Armatus!" I call out changing into my armatus. I fly up getting a full view of everything bringing a smile to my face. "Now, Radiant Sunrise!" I cast my phoenix blessing spell over the training field satisfying one of the requirements for the celestial gate to open. "Heads up everyone," I call to everyone still focusing on what they have to do, "here comes the power boost - Ember Booster!" I call out sending embers to everyone taking part in the ritual.

Marcie P.O.V.

I feel the embers from Darren's support spell hit my back further increasing the power of my spell along with everyone else. "Whoa," I jolt at the sudden increase of power but quickly regain control. My role in the ritual is to take the power that comes off Mara and act as the fulcrum between her and Sakura as they tear open the hole in the dimension opening the gate of the celestials. I also have to maintain the gate once it's open to allow Mara to go in and come back out. "Here we go," I yell over the noise of the whirling power between all of us, "Shattering Light!" I create these mirror-like things to purify magic power the way Omar showed me. As the power from Izumi, Kasia, and Isaac send their power to Mara, a part of that power comes to me to purify and then I send it to Sakura who then sends it back to Mara in a loop.
