Mystic Grove Academy
Principal Stephens P.O.V.
Pulling up to the front of the elemental school is a sight to behold. Four stories of classrooms line the main building with four dorms behind it. I glance over at Mara looking on in awe. "So, what do you think?" I startle her out of some thought.
"Amazing," she doesn't take her eyes off the building. She watches several students walk into the building. We get out and follow them inside. The front foyer is grand with six doors leading to various areas of the building. "You're right Miss Stephens, this is definitely not like any school I've seen before."
"Told you." I reach into my purse pulling out a device with the air symbol on it. "Put this on your right wrist," I instruct her as she takes it.
"What is it?"
"This device serves as your school I.D. that also has your schedule, a map to help you get around, a tracking system for me, and information on any student you want to learn more about. Based on what happened last week, you might like that."
Mara P.O.V.
I look at this thing like I'm crazy but nonetheless, I put it on my right wrist and see the air symbol, the same one that's on my hand, suddenly light up. "What the . . ." I see this screen suddenly appear in front of me with a list of classes. "This is my schedule?" I point to Miss Stephens making sure this is what I'm seeing.
"Yes it is," she points to the classes that are highlighted. "The highlighted classes are the ones you're taking today. The school runs on a modified block format so the students aren't saddled with as much homework."
Looking back at my schedule, I see that I have Samurai Arts first and I'm so lucky I brought my turquoise blade with me. "I'll be fine Miss Stephens," I grow a smile seeing my first class starting in fifteen minutes. "I'll head on now and find my way to my first class."
"Good luck Miss Gregson and don't be afraid to ask for help," Miss Stephens yells back as I follow the map on my wrist thing down one of the corridors. This also gives me a chance to explore the building some.
I follow the map on my device as best I can. Turning down the hallway leading to my first class, I see a group of people gathered around something. I force my way through the crowd seeing a couple in a heated argument.
" . . . and I told you if you talked to that whore again, I'm done with your sorry ass," this black girl with braids yells at this black guy wearing this awful-looking blue and green shirt. "We're done Michael."
"I told you I wasn't talking to her. You have to believe-" a loud slap echoes through the hallway causing everyone to step back in shock.
I shake my head snaking through the crowd. "It may be a magical school, but it's still high school," I think to myself continuing down the hall. I check my device again when I bump into someone. I look up at this white guy with baby-blue eyes along with this blue shirt and jeans. "Sorry about that," I try to laugh it off but he keeps staring at me. "Uh," I look around seeing people looking at me funny making me nervous, "you can stop staring now. It's rude."
Thump! I see this hand slap the back of his head snapping him out of this trance. This black guy walks up wearing this red, white, and black flame shirt with tribal designs on the bottom, black jeans and shoes. I see he has a katana strapped to his back. "Sorry about him," he points to the guy next to him, "he's not a morning person until he eats something and drinks about a gallon of coffee."
I snicker a bit at that comment. "Uh," I wave my hands showing no problem, "it's fine I guess. I'll just be going now." I start walking away from them.
