Josh, Kane and Jabesh pull the truck; carrying the boat. Derick and Dan are holding rifles and are looking through the magnifiers on the rifles in all directions.
One tyre of the truck; carrying the boat, suddenly falls inside a hole.
They all; quickly, turn their attention to that direction.
KANE
O shit!
JOSH
I think the tyre pulled out. (to Jabesh)
Did you tighten the bolts?
JABESH
Shut up, I did.
DERICK
Let me check it out. (moves carefully to the tyre) God damn it!
What’s the problem?
DERICK
It’s one of these wheels, it got stuck in here.
JOSH
Bull shit!
DERICK
We have to dig it out.
DAN
(sees a white stick-like thing behind a small tree and points the torchlight towards it. He moves a bit closer, uses the rifle to remove the tree’s branch
and he sees human skulls and fish bones) O my God!
DERICK
(rushes to where Dan is) What did you see?
DAN
(points the torchlight against the skulls) Here.
Jabesh, Kane and Josh run to where Dan is.
KANE
(with a shivering voice)
Jesus Christ! It’s going to eat us.
DERICK
Shut up! What’s going to eat you? Maybe the creature was dead many years ago and these are its remains.
JABESH
These skulls aren’t that big.
KANE
It looks like humans' skulls.
DAN
It’s humans' skulls.
KANE
O shit! I was just guessing!
JOSH
It looks as if these humans had a fight with the fishes and they succeeded in killing each other.
DERICK
(to Josh)
You’re right, I love the way you think.
Suddenly, a tree falls in a distance behind them.
DAN
What was that?
DERICK
Off the lights!
(Josh and Kane quickly rush and off the torchlight on the boat)
DAN
We have to move!
DERICK
(quickly carries a plank; hanging on one side of the boat, and fixes it under the stuck tyre. While others rush to the front-handle; for dragging the boat) Pull!
(they drag the boat and the tyre moves out of the hole) It’s out! Keep moving, we’re close to the river!
(points the rifle in the direction which the tree fell while others push the boat)
JOSH
What if it was a dead tree that fell?
DAN
Shut up!
JOSH
Why, what if I’m right!
DERICK
Yeah.
DAN
Captain saw moving things when we were still on the boat.
KANE
Seriously? Tell me that was a joke!
DAN
No, I’m serious.
KANE
O shit!
DERICK
Shadows aren’t things, Dan.
JOSH
Damn it! Shadows must come from something.
JABESH
Whatever may be out here isn’t smart at all.
DERICK Good!
KANE
Why did you say that?
JABESH
We’re close to the river, once we get there it’s game over.
KANE
What if it’s a sea creature?
JOSH
Like the one, which murdered the dolphins?
KANE
How did you know it’s one?
JOSH
I don’t know.
KANE
Could be two or more
DERICK
Don’t freak yourselves out, boys.
DAN
We’re here,
(they arrive at the seashore)
{SHORE}
DERICK
Be focus, don’t lose sight of anyone. Watch each other’s back until we’re out of here.
(Jabesh, Dan, Josh and Kane start loosing the tyres and pipes carrying the boat) Hurry, we don’t have any time to waste here.
(suddenly, water splashes upward and makes sounds)
DAN
What is that, Captain?
DERICK Shhhhh
(quietly moves to the backside of the boat where Josh, Dan, Jabesh and Kane are)
Don’t talk, something is moving out of the water.
JOSH
It could be a big fish.
DERICK
No, I saw horns.
KANE
Jesus Christ!
JABESH
That sounds scary.
JOSH
What if it’s a hippopotamus?
KANE
Does hippopotamus have horns?
DERICK
(quietly) Shut up.
(they all keep quiet)
