Athena and Harriet had packed their bags earlier that day and were currently saying goodbye to their families. But Charon was coming with them, of course. They weren't monsters. Well, more like Harriet was saying goodbye and Athena was telling her father not to freak out while she was gone, because let's face it. Hades can't function properly on his own and would most likely starve until she returned. What Athena and Hades didn't see was Mal staring at them in jealousy, wishing that she could have that with both of her parents. Mal knew that Athena was special and loved her for who she wanted to be, but she couldn't help but feel jealous and anger towards Athena. She could tell that both of their parents loved her unconditionally and that her mother was a hell of a lot closer than she was with Mal. The only thing was Mal didn't know why.
"HEY! We're leaving! So stop the sob fest and get in already!" Mal yelled at the two before climbing in herself.

As Athena climbed in, however, she heard one of the guards say that the 'jackals have landed'. Well isn't that just lovely? Note the sarcasm. Anyways, as they were crossing the border, the younger four noticed that there was no bridge ahead of them and being the kids they were, began to freak out and scream, thinking they were going to die. Meanwhile, Harriet, Charon, and Athena, being the only rational ones in the car, calmly ate the candy in front of them and started chatting about Athena's newest song, Bury A Friend. Once the kids realized they weren't going to die, they calmed down and started minding their own business, except for Evie who was begging Mal, Harriet, and Athena to do their make up as she was bored and didn't know what else to do. Mal and Athena refused, but Harriet, having a younger sister, just let her do what she wanted.

Finally, they arrived at Auradon Prep, where a crowd of people in blue and yellow with instruments were standing playing music. At the front, was Fairy Godmother, a tall boy with brown hair and a blue suit, and a girl with brown hair and a pink and blue dress on. Once the door to the car opened though, Jay and Carlos immediately fell out fighting over a scarf they had found in the limo. Harriet, having enough of their whining, climbed out in a simple outfit Athena had picked out that morning with her hair in a messy bun and said, "HEY! We've got an audience, boys!" And yanked the scarf out of their hands and throwing it back in the vehicle.
