I groaned loudly at the annoying sound of the alarm. I turned it off before sluggishly walking into the bathroom to begin my everyday morning routine. When I finished my shower, I brushed my teeth, lotioned my body with cocoa butter, and used my favorite bane vanilla perfume from Victoria's secret.
After I was done, I walked inside my closet looking for a decent outfit to wear because today was the first day of college. I decided on wearing a tight white crop top, a black jean jacket to go over it, and blue ripped jeans.
I heard my phone ding from my nightstand. So I picked it up thinking it was King because we have been texting each other nonstop ever since the party last week but it was just Damian.
Ugly twin😊: Stop sending me iMessage games, nobody wanna play with u.
Me: You just mad that I

Me: Watch imma post ur 4th grade picture day photos.🤚🏾
Ugly twin😊: yo chill bruh I was just playing.
I laughed then entered the kitchen to prepare myself some chocolate chip pancakes and eggs before leaving. Once I was done making the food I sat down on one of the counter stools. As soon as I picked up my fork I heard Michelle's door open and close.
"Ooooh, it smells good." She yawned and was already dressed for the day.
"Did you cook me some pancakes too?" She furrowed her eyebrows and stood in front of me waiting for an answer.
"Yea, it's in the fridge." I munched on my food, scrolling through posts on Instagram.
The morning after the party Chelle told me that Abby took her somewhere and said that they'll be back for me but the both of them forgot. Like what, Make it make sense. I ignored her ass for two days then she eventually apologized and promised me she wouldn't do that again.
"Are you excited for today?" She asked while I washed my plate in the sink.
"I wouldn't say excited but I'm more nervous." I said, heading to the living room sofa.
"Sis don't worry I'm sure everyone feels the same." She said, calming my nerves a little bit.
"Well, I got about thirty minutes left before I need to leave." I remind her after looking at my phone and seeing it was 7:32 am. Michelle's classes didn't start till later so I had to drive myself.

"Finally." I say under my breath, making it on time to my last class of the day, Math. I walked in and saw that there were a couple of students already seated. I chose a seat in the middle row and looked towards the front and saw a dark skin middle-aged man in a black suit at his desk. On the board behind him, it read Mr.Thomas.
The class didn't seem to have started so I pulled out my phone. In the middle of playing candy crush, I felt someone tap me on the shoulder.
"Aye, could I borrow a pencil...wait Raven? I didn't know you go here." I looked to the right and to my surprise I see Sekani come sit in the seat beside me.
"Oh hey! Me too I didn't know you went here." I smile and pass him one of my green mechanical pencils.
"Good looks." He nods, placing it in his pocket.
"You just gotta remember to give it back though." I pointedly looked at him while he chuckled.
"Your too funny." He lightly patted my head and stood up to go talk to a group of boys in the seats behind me.
Did he just finesse me.
"What Sekani-
"Alright, class settle down so I can take the attendance and make sure everyone's here." Mr.Thomas's voice cuts me off and everyone's loud chattering comes to an end. I sighed and focused my attention on the teacher for the rest of the class.
When the clock turned 2:45 pm, the class was dismissed hence why I'm currently in my car heading home. I got a little hungry on the way and wanted something sweet. I stopped at a cute little bakery named CeCe's desserts. The whole place had green or pink decorations and it instantly smelled like cookies and cinnamon. You could also just feel the warm and cozy energy as you enter.
"Hello baby, welcome to CeCe's desserts. How can I help you?" A short old lady who came from the back smiled at me. Once I walked up to the counter, I noticed that she had a bunch of flour on her forehead and apron.
"Can I please have two of your red velvet doughnuts?" I politely ask and point to the display of doughnuts behind the glass.
"Great choice, those are my absolute favorites. Hold on, one second sweetie." She brings out a small pink box and carefully places them in. While she's doing that I can't help but look around.
"Ma'am, I was just wondering if you were hiring or anything like that." I grab the doughnuts as she hands them to me.
I mean I was looking for a job and it looked like she could use some help around here.
"Do you know how to bake?" She raises her eyebrows and puts one hand on her hip.
"Yeah, I love baking in my free time."
"How about this, if you make an amazing red velvet cake for my granddaughter on Sunday and it tastes wonderful, you got yourself a job...." She suggests.
"Raven." I tell her and she hands me a small card with the business number on it.
"Well Raven, I guess we'll see each other again on Sunday." She smiled and grabbed a broom next to her.
"Okay, bye thank you!" I waved before turning around.
"Don't bring me no burnt cake nah. Bye." She says loudly and I laugh.
