AU: Tragic backstory

Description: Baekhyun had a pretty happy life. That was until a fire happened, causing him to lose his father, happiness, and eyesight that day. He shut everyone out after that, the only person he wanted to talk to being his boyfriend, Chanyeol.

Baekhyun groaned as he and his dad got out of the car. He hated the "take your kid to work" days because it was always boring being in his dad's office. He was eighteen and wasn't easy to entertain at all, but his mom wanted him to go everytime to make his father happy.

But his dad was going to buy him food afterward, so that was a brightside.

It was just boring. He would sit there on his phone but he couldn't watch YouTube videos with his earbuds in or he would get called out by one of the employees for being "rude". So he could basically just play free ad-infested appstore games or read on Wattpad.

Fun.

Once they got up to the office place from the elevator, they said hello to everyone and sat down by his dad's desk.

"What do you want to eat after this?"

"Can we get Western food?" Baekhyun asked.

"Like burgers or something?"

Baekhyun nodded as his father started typing things on his computer.

"Baekhyun, do you wanna go out with me later?" A girl asked him. "I thought you were handsome and I just wanted to ask."

"I-I'm sorry. I'm not really looking for a relationship right now."

"Oh... okay," she smiled sadly and walked away and Baekhyun's father smacked him upside the head.

"You dork."

"What? I'm just not interested."

"You reject every girl who asks you out. You're dating your friend Chanyeol, aren't you? You must like it up the-"

"Dad!" He yelled, his cheeks burning up as his dad started laughing. "What the hell is wrong with you?" His dad shrugged and Baekhyun rolled his eyes while smiling. "You're so weird."

He stood up, a soft chuckle escaping his lips as he walked to where he remembered the bathroom to be. Once he was done washing his hands, he heard yelling and opened the door to see smoke everywhere.
