Some words that are winter,
Some words that feel too cold. They hit us harder,
Then a cold shower.
People who say them,
I wonder what led them,
To say such harshness,
To slay the calmness,
StillSome words that are winter,
Some words that feel too cold.Even the mountain snow,
Melts high and low.
Flows soft like a river,
And it remains forever.
But those words you say,
As plain as day,
HurtSome words that are winter,
Some words that feel too cold.My breathing laboured,
But you speak clear and straight.
I endure it to listen
And I don't get mistaken.
Your every word comes in,
Becoming ingrained within
MeSome words that are winter,
Some words that feel too cold. When the dawn rises, I
Wonder if what I felt, right?
Words aren't actually icy,
Maybe, its just me.
I know you haven't changed,
Maybe I have melted,
YetSome words that are winter,
Some words that feel too cold.
