Jungkook thought that the way you had spoke when you asked him to leave early was different than usual. Maybe you truly we're being different or maybe it was his brain making excuses. Either way he had an odd feeling about you going home, so he clocked out early as well and snuck out the front doors of the building once you were far enough ahead that you wouldn't notice him but he could still see you most of the time.

Everything was going fine until he turned one corner and saw exactly what he had been trying to prevent. Taehyung was stood not too far from the corner and you were a good few meters ahead of him. He watched as horror and shock washed over your features. Whilst you were feeling that, he was feeling immense guilt about not being able to keep you safe. He should have killed Taehyung the moment those letters came through the post.

He watched as you slowly stumbled back around and ran in the direction you had been heading as quickly as you could. Taehyung followed you, he was faster than you and Jungkook knew he would have to do something.

He runs after the two of you, trying to think of the best time he could intervene and help you. It seemed that neither of them had noticed Jungkook's thumping steps behind them, which was for the better really. If Taehyung realised he was there he could try to finish him off and then you would have no one to protect you and he couldn't have that happening.

Lucky for Jungkook, although not for you, Taehyung caught up with you and grabbed your arm, pulling you into the closest alleyway he could find. He had obviously been waiting for it to show up and knew the exact moment to pull you in with him.

When Jungkook enters the alleyway, Taehyung has your arms pinned above your head and looked like he was trying to talk to you about something, he seemed very calm. You, on the other hand, had tears streaming down your face. Jungkook felt anger boil inside him at the thought of you being upset or hurt. He gave himself the obligation to save you and walked closed to Taehyung.

He slowly crept up behind him and shoved him away from you on to the floor. You looked at Jungkook in shock, surprised to see him there. Tears soon filled your eyes at the relief of being saved from Taehyung.

Taehyung, on the other hand, seemed far from amused. He glared up at Jungkook from the ground and quickly stood back up, obviously wanting to fight him. He lunged forward at Jungkook but wasn't fast enough to land any sort of hit on him. Jungkook moved to the side and let Taehyung fall to the floor all kn his own.

You stared from the sidelines in fear. You had seen what Taehyung had done to Jungkook before and were incredibly scared that he would win and Jungkook would end up dead, like the intention was before.

However, you were not aware of Jungkook's little hobby. So you were incredibly shocked when Jungkook ended up on top of Taehyung, angrily punching his fists into Taehyung's face.

The tears quickly built in your eyes again at the shock of seeing Jungkook like this. To you, he was just your gentle Kookie and this was so far from how you always saw him. It scared you a little, if you were being honest.

Eventually, you had had enough if seeing Jungkook like this. You walked closer, knowing Taehyung was in no shape to even attempt to hurt you at this point. You gently held on to Jungkook's shoulders and eased him away from Taehyung. He was panting heavily and his face was red with anger.

"Kookie, come on. Let's just go home." You whimpered as the words came out, slightly scared that he would turn around and hurt you as well. Those thoughts were soon disproven.

"Home?" He asked, turning his head to look at you. His eyes were slightly glossy, as if they were begging for all of this to just stop, for Taehyung to leave you both alone.

You simply nodded and put a smile on your face to detract from just how worried and scared you were. He slowly stood up and crouched down again. You looked at him in confusion.

"What are you doing?"

"Get on my back. You must be tired after having to deal with the shock of that." He smiled up at you and you happily obliged.
