A Celebration To Remember.

"Wake up you two!" Zeke yelled as he hit you both with pillows in your stomach making you and Eren wake up instantly.

"OW!" you screamed out as you took the pillow from his hands and started swinging.

"WOAH WOAH WOAH!" he said putting his hands up.

"We need to give the the birthday boy his gift!" Zeke said as you nodded. You ran to your room and grabbed the brown gift bag that you had personally written Eren's name on it in calligraphy.

"You guys shouldn't have!" he said as you sat back in bed handing him his gift.

He started taking out the tissue paper and his first gift was a sweater he's been wanting for the past few months that was from Zeke.

"Ah the sweater! I was thinking of ordering this two days ago," Eren said, laughing as he pulled out the next gift.

He unwrapped it and revealed a glass painting of the three of you, that you painted yourself.

"Holy shit! Y/n did you paint this?" he asked as you nodded.

"It took awhile but it was worth it, I really hope you like it," you said as he hugged you.

"Dude, it's great seriously," he said as you smiled.

"Okay okay, there should be one last one!" Zeke said as he pulled out the last thing wrapped in tissue paper.

He unwrapped it.

"A NEW PHONE?" he exclaimed as you and Zeke smiled.

"YOU GUYS!" he yelled as he hugged you both.

"Ah, it's no big deal. We're both on Zeke's plan anyway, haha!" you said as Eren took out his brand-new iPhone 11.

"These are all really meaningful to me you guys. Thank you so much," he said to you both as you nodded.

"Of course Eren, you deserve it! Also, Zeke and I wrote our own personal notes to you, but you can read those later. Now, we gotta finish packing whatever else we're bringing with us on this flight today!" you said standing up and stretching as your dad knocked on the door.

Zeke went to hide his weed stash and opened the door.

"Hey, you two! Happy birthday, Eren!" he said to the three of you, and you all smiled.

"Thanks, Dad!" he said as they hugged.

"Okay, so I wanted to talk to you all yesterday about the night before but we never did. I just wanted to make sure you all understand, I care about you guys and all I need is for you all to be safe, I don't mind you going out, I really don't. Just please next time you do, let me know?" he said as you all nodded at one another.

"We understand," you said as you got up to hug him, and Eren and Zeke followed.

"Okay, you three, go finish packing and get ready to take off soon. Levi and Erwin texted me earlier to remind you also not to forget your passports!" he said as you all nodded and left Zeke's room.

You walked into your room and heard Eren blasting "Good Days" by SZA. You smiled to yourself, remembering that night in the tunnel.

You lay on your bed, let the music flow through your mind, and think about your new journey starting today.

Today, you'd be leaving your life in the States behind and flying somewhere new and making new memories with new friends. You would have a fresh state of mind and be free for a little while. You were excited, you had lived under strict rules for a couple of years, so knowing you'd be away was causing you also to grow nervous.
