Amidst The Ruins

Chapter 1: Curiosity

Lies. Lies are everywhere, for them. This is already a part of their life, a part of their mindset, a part of them that they cannot tame.

It all started at a place called Delisia, where tranquility blooms at its best and no darkness shall ever linger inside it. On that place lived a man named Jacob, but he prefers to use the name Jakeinstead, because his father was the one who gave that name and as a matter of fact Jacobis a junior.

The story of his situation with his father was far more cataclysmic that you could ever imagine, hence the obscurity of that story it is not yet to be revealed(Smirks).

Moving on, Jake always have his body, six feet under the ground, but the question is ,will it take him six feet under the ground? It's not like he wanted to be at that kind of situation, but it's just that he always wanted to exaggerates or overdo things that he shouldn't really.... You know.... PUT TOO MUCH EFFORTinto it since those are not that important at all. One situation wherein he really crossed the line is when he actually turned a frisky garden into a scorching desert, since he was asked to "clean" the garden (Facepalm).Jacob will always be Jacob anyway (sighs).

But sometimes, yes, sometimes his hyperness can't only help him but it can also help the others. Just like when his town dried out of water as in seriously, every well was dried due to the severe heat caused by the blazing sun, he did not only managed to provide the water for his family but also with his neighbors. That's why they love him even though he's like that, one man actually said to him " Ya' 're a good boy ma' son, but don't forget that a wanderer will sooner or later lose its path no matter how brave he is, he'll always be a wanderer, a seeker and a born leader."

"Leader?" Asked Jake.

"Yes, a leader, he who seeks should know the truth and when one knows what's the truth then he could manage not only himself but also his followers" hastily replied the man.

"Why the rush?" Urgely asked by Jake.

"I need to wander" vaguely answered by the man.

Jake was about to ask why is the man going to wander, then suddenly his vision went white as if the clouds were at his own level and the man disappeared leaving only a piece of shard on an unknown form with yet another unknown symbol in it.

"What could this symbol mean?" He asked to himself.

Then suddenly the shard sparkles at a sequence as if it was telling him something, he carefully examined the shard because he have realized that the shard wouldn't be sparkling on a weird sequence if it wasn't going to tell something, right?

So then he examined it, after a couple of minutes on realizing on what could that sequence probably mean, he gave up thinking about it.

"What on the name of Delisia could this sequence probably mean?" Angrily asked by Jake to himself. So he did gave up on it, for now.

Jake asked his friend or his sidekick named Treshie on what could that sequence mean.

"Maybe it's a sign for you to find your TRUELOVE?" said Treshie as if he was trying to provoke Jake.

"Love? Love is for the fools but still you want me to find my TrueLove? I could find my beloved one but the true love your talking about can have a place on the oblivion" Calmly answered by Jake, which is unusual, really unusual.

"Oh come on, why so serious anyway? Is there anything that matters you?" curiously asked by Treshie.

"Yes, there is. You see, I found this weird looking shard when a man I'm talking with a while ago left as fast as the wind" replied Jake and he undoubtedly gave the shard to Treshie hoping that he know something about it. But after Treshie heard the part about the mysterious man disappearing like a wind, his eyes grew dimmer as if he have seen a ghost.

"What does the man looks like?" nervously asked by Treshie.

"I am not quite sure about the details of his face because he has a black veil covering his entire body" hastily replied Jake.

Treshie frantically looked at Jake's eyes and without hesitation he said "We're doom, for now".
