Amidst The Ruins

Chapter 3: Revelation

"The truth hurts more than anything else but the truth will always be the truth so we don't really have any other choice but to savor it and embrace it."

"Why do we have to tell the Highness about this anyway?" curiously asked by both of them.

"Because he's the king and we are just his followers, but fear not my dear lads the king shall do you no harm for the both of you might be the key to stop this current mess and to fulfill the long stagnant prophecy written on the Carlio." replied Freddy on a very self-assuring voice

"Seems legit enough. (Then laughs) said by Jake and Treshie while looking at each other's " assured" faces.

So then they walk and walk upon different halls and while they were walking they met Ophilie, a friend of the three of them. Ophilie was quite nostalgic at that time, so the three of them have decided to drop-by.

"You look like as if the Delisianity will come to an end already, Ophilie." said Jake on an intimidating manner.

"As a matter of fact it will! So let's stop this chatting and continue walking but now with her." Replied Freddy on a serious tone.

"Why so serious my friend? What if that thing you saw in the Orb of Clairvoyance, you know, isn't true? Maybe." said Jake on a very annoying manner

Then suddenly they heard an uproar at the left hallway and it said. "Fool! Such a mongrel indeed! The Orb of clairvoyance never and will never lie for our ancestors have wielded it for thousands of centuries to seek for the truth we all wanted. What is thy name of such a dirty-mouth like you anyway?" asked the voice and yes he didn't realize that the statement of Jake a while ago was a mere joke.

They all look at their left-side for the voice they heard came from that direction and then there they saw a stalwart figure with a leg as tight of those of the Black Panthers, eyes like those of the hawk and a bicep as firm as those of the rhinos. He is no other than the King of The Delisian Empire, Leticius III.

Neither Jake nor his friends couldn't speak due to the trembling aura of the king. But, suddenly the king smiled as if he's trying to fool all of them.

"Thou shall not be afraid to me thy followers I am here to seek thy truth you have stumbled upon, you see here, the Orb of Clairvoyance gave us this sign that a group of people shall seek thy help of us for them to also know the truth that lies beneath the shard." said the king on a very kind manner afterwhich he laughs after seeing the frightened faces of the students.

"You're right my Highness, we are here to tell you a great feat on Delisianity for these two people......" suddenly interrupted by Treshie

"Actually it's just him." He smirks and he was referring to Jake.

"Well, whatever, the point here is that the man that is being referred in the Carlio has been met by him and the shard that will serve as the key on unravelling the whole prophecy is within his own hands." Replied by Freddy who is slightly annoyed due to the interruption of Treshie

Jake opened his bag and he immediately get the shard protected by a thin-piece of cloth. He then gave the shard to his Highness.

"So how are we gonna know if that's the real thing or not?" curiously asked by Jake without any sign of hesitation.

"Good question mongrel, you actually know something!" replied by the King who is trying to annoy Jake, and yes ,Jake did actually became annoyed.

"So what is your righteous guideline , your highness?" said Jake who is trying to be tempered despite of the words uttered by the king.

"We shall seek thy help of my old great friend living at the Howling Abyss, his name? Find-out for yourselves. (Smirks)"  provokingly said by the king.

The king together with Jake and his friends have decided to prepare their things and most specially themselves for such kind of undertaking. Their journey will be breathtaking, no one can assure their safety nor their guidance coming from the light. A not so bright light afterall.
